I don't see how it could have been better. I wish I had known how difficult even the 20-minute "loop" trail would be, however - I was hiking alone, and realized I just wasn't sure-footed enough! Should have brought my cleats, and at 63 with bad knees, I guess my days of "real" Alp hiking may be over! :D

Breathtaking, once-in-a-lifetime experience at 3100 meters above sea level. Direct view of the Matterhorn. Wonderful dinner included in the price, with an attentive and friendly staff (who also gave us good advice about the altitude and any problems we might have because of it)! Delicious and plentiful breakfast. 5 stars all the way.

You’re not here for the comforts or food but all decent. If you like sparkly things in hotels prob not for you but if you like to see the universe sparkle then this Is absolutely the place for you

Can’t be anything other than a 10/10. Staff are outstanding. Most unbelievable view in Switzerland, you’re here for that, nothing else matters! Did I mention how breath taking the views are.

The best staff, I felt pampered. They gave me a room with a balcony facing the Matterhorn. Amazing view! I strongly recommend spending the night. The stars, the sunrise, everything is so magic! Food is also great, they consider your allergies or restrictions.

Views were amazing...a full 360 degrees of mountains. My room had a direct view of the Matterhorn which was fabulous. Dinner was excellent...and staff very friendly

The dinner was really terrible. The dishes were bad. And we tried to reserve a table in advance and it was confirmed. But it ended up to be “all the tables at windows were reserved and you can choose from the rest". The bright side is that the food is so bad and you finish it in no time. Go back to the room and enjoy the awesome view!

The location and view are awesome! The room is comfortable. The breakfast is OK.

Staff could help the guests with luggage at the train station. If you are carrying heavy suitcases or if there is snow on the ground, it is difficult to go from the train station to the hotel.

Previously, I was always wondering why the room was quite expensive. However, once my boyfriend and I reached the hotel, we could understand why. The location and view were amazing with the Alps around. The dinner and breakfast were very tasty, served by great staffs. The panorama view was impressive with sunset and sunrise.

Amazing experience as usual. Is the second time here and I will definitely be back. Location is amazing, the rooms are clean and well maintained, breakfast and dinner were delicious and the whole staff is very profesional and friendly.

Access paths are unsafe and need railing. Entry to hotel was more like a well used public space in need of cleaning. Reception area was bizarre. Located under the stair and lacked any ambience and not always attended. Evening meal was a buffet, with no main course options. There was no sign of managerial staff only the wait staff. The hotel demanded payment in full 5 days before arrival, or otherwise we were told the room would let to another. Incidentally the hotel only had about 30 guests. Perhaps they needed our money for cash flow?

The receptionists attention was bad, she made it look like she was bothered with our presence. We tried to talk to her and be friendly but she barely answered.

The Spaniard waitress, Jennifer, was adorable and very helpful. The hotel view is absolutely amazing.

For how much money this hotel cost, the toilet paper could have been lots softer (among other things being MUCH nicer for a $700/night hotel). Would have been helpful to know while booking that just getting to the hotel would be an additional $200

Too expensive for the facilities. Food in the restaurant was quite limited specially for dinner. No bread nothing green. I have been to other Kulmhotels and their kitchens were comparatively better.

Staff were rude and unhelpful and food was average. Not what you’d expect from such an expensive hotel. I also suffered from altitude sickness so be careful of that if you really must visit

The food could improve

The smell of the Swiss pine in the room was really wonderful and the view of the Matterhorn from our window was breathtaking. The whole experience of being so high up and surrounded by so many over 4000m peaks was overwhelming.
