Just about everything was perfect. It is close to the train station, was exceptionally clean, and we loved having a kitchen. I am allergic to scented products and this hotel was the best ever as far as being scent free. We would love to come back again and stay here. A tip for people coming in by train - do not take the elevators up from the train platform. Instead walk down the platform to the letter C and take the ramp down. Turn right and follow the crowd to the large center section. If you need groceries there is a Coop to the right. If you don’t want to stop for groceries first, proceed straight past the information booth and go right on to the end of that hall where you will find an elevator and escalator. Once up at street level go straight toward the side street and take it left. Go down one short block and turn right. The hotel is only the right about 20 feet ahead.

It was centrally located, spacious and had cooking facilities. Housekeeping was to a high standard. Plenty of restaurants nearby as well as museums and historical sites.

The lift is very small

Great location, very calm despite being right downtown with bars and restaurants on the same street. The hotel staff was very responsive when we called with a small issue that was resolved immediately.

Nothing other than a retractable clothes line in the shower area would have been appreciated & perhaps a collapsible luggage rack.

Absolutely wonderful apartment in all respects (standard double room with kitchenette) – great location – just minutes 3 – 5 minutes walk from the railway station & Migros Supermarket, clean, comfortable, spacious, street view BUT quiet, well-furnished, well-lit, seating area + table & chairs, kitchenette well-stocked with cutlery, crockery, cookware & utensils, pleasing decor, modern bathroom, very comfortable bed, very good wifi & happily a lift / elevator. Amazingly simple, ‘no-fuss’, painless, self check-in procedure - easily located address / large, clear illuminated sign outside the accommodation, SAME keycode for ALL entries - BRILLIANT - the best self check-in arrangement we've experienced in all our years of worldwide travel over decades & my husband & I (we are Australian) are in our senior years. Communication with Manager, Amir, was always prompt, helpful & friendly. Be sure to receive the city transport ticket code from him, which allows free transport on trams, buses etc. throughout the city – a big saving. Our apartment certainly enhanced our (sadly) all too short stay in Bern. Highly recommended ‘Akomo Bern’ & we will certainly endeavour to secure this accommodation again should we return in the future.

One day a sound of drilling has woken me up at about 6.30, not sur eif in building or next one. Also no socket - or is well hidden in bathroom to plug in hair dryer. Also as this room accommodates 4, more plates and a salad bowl would be facilitating when families in the room.

Quiet building, couldn't hear any other guests or street noise. 5min from translation and right above 2 restaurants and a supermarket. The spacious apartment made it a great place to settle, spread out, and save some money by utilising the kitchen and cooking in every now and then

Everything was lovely! We would highly recommend Akomo Bern! The rooms were newly renovated and were very clean. The furniture was sturdy and comfortable. Our group shared a side by side large suite with kitchenette and living and dining area as well as a double room with a kitchenette. They were both exceptional. The owner was very attentive. We asked if we could have wine glasses and they were dropped off at our room. They were in a box with stickers still on the glasses. We think he might have gone out and bought them for us. Often the pictures of a place make it look better than it is. The accommodations were even better looking than the pictures. The location was excellent! We were just a very short walk from the train station and were within the Old Town. We asked for a restaurant recommendation and the owner suggested the Rialto which was just up the street and it was excellent. We were incredibly lucky to get in on short notice. We were so happy that we picked Akomo Bern!
