The restaurants onsite and the spa were fantastic. We left the hotel to ski other than that we just spent our time at the hotel as they had everything we wanted.

Everything was great.

Breakfast in the hotel was fine. There are three restaurants there, a French one, a Thai and a Japanese. We ate in th French one (l'entrecote) and the Thai and both were very good. Attentive staff and delicious food. The ski room was well equipped and we had a taxi each morning to take us to the various ski lifts. I would like to make a special mention for Sally and Alex who were on reception. I left a necklace in my room and Sally found it and posted it to me. I also had a massage in the Spa with Katie and that was marvellous.

It was all good.

The hotel was ideally situated, close to the centre of the town and only a short walk to the bus stop where you catch the free ski bus. In common with most hotels, they arranged transport to pick us up from and drop us back at the train station. The hotel was comfortable, staff were very pleasant and helpful. The breakfasts were also very good. We tried the Thai restaurant in the hotel. The food and service were both excellent.

Location was perfect and the staff were very friendly and helpful specially Maria who was extremely kind and sweet. The amenities in the rooms very thoughtful for skiers ( lip balms and small tissue packs) We loved the smoking room , it was very cosy and practical.

I was not informed the hotel had a shuttle for our arrival in Zermatt so we walked with our bags to the hotel after traveling all dayt long to get there.

Breakfast was included which made it convenient in the morning and they had enough selections for everyone

the smoking room is the best room in the building and all dedicated to smokers. The non-smoking area is much smaller. This should be reversed as there are more non-smokers than smokers.

We stayed at the Hotel Albana Real for 1 week over New Year. We had a really wonderful time. The staff are super friendly and really made our trip special. The spa facilities are lovely and a great way to relax after a hard days skiing. We would definitely recommend visiting the restaurants in the hotel : the Japanese is amazing for both Teppanyaki (which is really special) or the sushi bar. The Japanese is probably the best restaurant in Zermatt. 5 stars. Thank you so much Hotel Albana

Zermatt in general: If you want to eat, make reservations for lunch and dinner - and well (months) in advance! Places book up so fast, both on and off mountain.

Breakfast hours at the hotel are from 7:30-10:30. We were there every morning at 7:30, and the options were impressive. Omelet station, cereal, yogurt, muesli, breads, juices, fruits, eggs, etc. Staff was super friendly. Proximity of hotel to the bus was great. Used it to and from skiing, although its only a 5-7 minute walk to Glacier Paradise/Klein Matahorn lift. And hotel is only a 3-5 minute walk to the main street (Bahnhofsttasse) where you’ll find a majority of the bars/shopping/restaurants.

Some of the modern features like USB chargers and plug points could be modernized.

Location is really good, even in a small village it matters. With 3 restaurants and a really nice spa it make the hotel a great place to rest after a busy day.

We advised we'd be a little early, but our rooms still weren't ready by 3pm. I appreciate it was a busy bank holiday weekend though!

This hotel is beautiful - everything feels very 1930s, but with a modern twist. Fabulous bathroom, comfiest beds, gorgeous spa, perfect Matterhorn view from the balcony and the best breakfast of our week. We also ate in the Italian restaurant and the food was to die for!

i came with 2 dogs (a small and a medium) and I was charged 80 Chf for 2 nights. did not knew before.

thé swimming pool is warm and the jacuzzi was hot as it should be. I liked the separate naked zone / spa- though staff should check as some visitors do not respect it and make the ones who respect uncomfortable. location is great. breakfast is good. you can make fresh carrots juice too

No eggs for breakfast and buffet breakfast spread was not topped up regularly enough. The Italian restaurant serves very good food at great value. The cold water tap at one of the 2 washbasins could not be turned on.

The loft suite was beautifully appointed with a clear view of the Matterhorn from the master bed through the loft window! A very comfortable room with attached bathroom. Breakfast was generous.

about a kilometre from Zermatt station not convenient if have a large luggage if using hotel shuttle taxi need to pay for city tax and book in advance
