The beds and mostly the pillows were uncomfortable. The restaurant was providing creative recipes but not matching with everybody'd taste.

Fantastic location, beautiful place , very quiet and calm, very nice spa facility. They also provided us with a bottle of champagne and some sweets for our anniversary. :)

There was just slightly too much furniture in our room. They could have removed one or two chairs or benches and it would have made for a bit more space to move around.

The family room was a nice size for us and the beds were very comfortable. The hotel was a nice distance from town and the food in the restaurant was exceptional. They were well set up to accommodate our two year old at dinner, with kids cup/plate/utensils and some colored pencils and coloring book. The staff were friendly and kind. There was a cozy lounge area (though the fire they made was strangely tiny inside a large fireplace!).

It is about 30 mins walk from the village centre. More information about hikes etc would be welcome-especially for people who don’t know the area.

It was friendly. I came to relive a visit to Kandersteg with my parents some 10 years ago, when I stayed at the Adler- where my father stayed sixty five years earlier. It was not friendly then, and we were so disappointed. This hotel made me feel welcome. Just what I needed.

It is a bit of a walk to the train station but it has to be to get the view. The bus stop is nearby so it is ok.

Fabulous view of the mountain from the balcony. Newly renovated with a wellness centre that has salt steam room and herbal sauna. Very relaxing. Even has snacks and water available after your spa experience. The service staff was efficient, professional and tried their very best to cater to my requests. Loved my stay.

Spa swimming pool was much smaller than pictures led us to believe. Food excellent but unfortunately dinner was too expensive for us to eat there every night.

Spa was excellent and staff lovely and very accommodating - especially Suzanne on the front desk. Breakfast good especially for a gluten/lactose free diet.

In my humble opinion, the restaurant was a bit overpriced for what they offered. But I guess this is a common thing in most restaurants offering 2-3-4 course dinners.

The person at reception was extremely friendly and made a great start of the hotel experience. Spa-Sauna was quite good and you can access it until late. The local beer is excellent. Breakfast was also amazing. Location close to Oeschinensee.

Staff very friendly and helpful. The hotel is 10 minutes walk from the train station and not far away from the cable car going to Oeschinensee. Good breakfast, great restaurant.

The receipt was very welcome as I knew the person from last year in another hotel Kandersteg. We talked quite a bit and he kindly explained the hotel and its background. He even arranged a table for me although the restaurant normally requires prior reservations.

Amazing breakfast, although they could have refilled some of the food that has run out. Very relaxing environment, excellent spa area. Beautiful views from the windows and you get a discount for the gondola.

There were a lot of possibilties to buy local dairy products, but we had no fridge in the room. However, it is not something we did not like, just something missing.

My Husband and I went for a Hike+Bike trip and we were overwhelmed with the activities we could persue. We went for 3 days, and enjoyed the views, and activities.

The restaurant seemed to be slightly under-staffed the evening we dined there. We saw unhappy faces at another table and behind the bar counter when we almost finished our dinner. I hope this is not the usual case coz the food was really nice and the restaurant was beautiful.

The room was spacious and clean with a nice balcony overlooking a big lawn. Breakfast was good with various kinds of bread and cold cuts. The Swiss herbal tea selection is lovely. The gentleman at the reception was very friendly, cheerful and humourous. The food in the restaurant was very delicious and beautifully-presented. Its signature "20 herbs soup" is one of the best I have ever tried.
