The hotel was super-handy for one of the main Zermatt lifts but not so great for the Sunegga - which was the one my ski-school used...

Beautiful views of the Matterhorn from my balcony. Cozy, comfortable, quiet room with full-length bath in which to soak away those achey legs after a day on the piste and/or hiking. The vegan breakfast options were great: the restaurant manager treated me to special bircher muesli plus muffins and yoghourt every morning.

Location of the property was excellent - right around the corner from the main ski lift. The hotel was really comfortable for our 3 night stay and breakfast was just perfect every morning. We had an evening flight home so skied until lunchtime, the hotel allowed us to shower in the wellness area before getting the train, which was very much appreciated.

TV was small and no english channels, and Wifi was barely working.

View was excellent (of Matterhorn). Location was as close to primary gondola as you can get. Downside is farther from most restaurants. But it is a short walk or $15 cab ride everywhere. Room was totally adequate for 2 people. Wouldn't want to be there with a kid in tow, however. Would need a separate room. Staff were great, breakfast was beyond adequate.

The shower is a hand-held shower (in a bath) and the temperature is not stable.

The room was comfortable (3 people) and the breakfast buffet was excellent. The location is very convenient, next to the ski lift. The spa (open from 16:00-20:00) was very good with a steam bath, sauna and individual jacuzzis. There is a ski room available with ski boot heaters.

Be ready for social media diet if you don't have data roaming. Wifi speed :) turtles are faster. Room was pretty aged especially bathroom. In the end people will come anyway it is Zermatt dear..

Booked a twin for my son and I but got a double ! Was able to separate the beds which blocked the wardrobe !

Only 100m from ski lift and ski hire shop. 250m from end of home run and ski bus stop to other lifts. Great view of Matterhorn from balcony and dining room. Lovely breakfast buffet. Not far to walk into town. Only 17Ch for taxi from train station at midnight ( 10 Ch for return day time booked through reception ). Secure luggage store and allowed us to shower and change after check out.

Great value for skiers - one of the closest lodgings to the Matterhorn Glacier Express gondola, and at a great price. Good breakfast, ski and boot room with street access. Fluffy, warm, down comforters and pillows. Clean. Friendly reception, helpful with recommendations. Discounted taxis (10 CHF) to the train station - just call on arrival and arrange at checkout. Taxi usually arrives in 10 minutes. Full spa with wet sauna, dry sauna, razul, cold and hot showers, 2 whirlpool tubs, and 9 heated lounge chairs for relaxation. Many rooms have a Matterhorn view. This is an older, classic hotel and because of its popularity its always booked so the rooms are a little worn from use and continuous cleaning. It's a charming place that we've stayed at on all 3 of our week-long ski trips to Zermatt. The amenities and proximity to the gondola for skiers are a great value.

we arrived the day the hotel opened for the season, so it was dusty and needed an airing. additionally, the room had some items broken in the bathroom, that were likely changed after our stay. however, at the price we paid would expect the room at least to be in good order

Only the TV doesn’t have any TV stations in English or I could find any channel! Wish they could incorporate an English station or maybe an English movie. Everything was in German or Swiss!

The rooms are a little run down, specially the carpet. The furniture and bedding could be updated but this may be due to the hotel allowing pets.

The hotel is very close to the Matterhorn express and we experienced no lines. We were able to bring our cat with us and room was comfortable for the 3 of us. We had a great balcony with a view of the Matterhorn. There were dining options very close to us and downtown Zermatt was only a 15 min walk. We used a taxi only when we arrived and left with our luggage. Breakfast was varied and staff were friendly and helpful. There is a boot warmer in the ski room and spa has 2 whirlpool pools and dry and wet saunas which are all clothing optional. Hotel provides robes and slippers. The safe in our room did not work but we had no problems, simply kept our valuables locked up.
