Great location and great view of Matterhorn! Walking distance to the gondola and close enough to walk into town. We loved our stay! Good price for quality too.

Our room was upgraded for free so we had a Matterhorn view and balcony. There a good range for breakfast and we really enjoyed the spa too. Great location near to the Matterhorn paradise lift station. Very helpful staff.

We had a little bad start because we were given the wrong room which was also in bad condition but after this was fixed we liked our stay. Without this experience my rating would be higher.

The hotel has a good location, especially with the splendid Matterhorn view even from the breakfast room. The room was OK and suitable for three people. The breakfast buffet was very rich and delicious. The hotel is very close to the Matterhorn Express Gondola, which made it very convenient to go hiking in the Schwarzsee region with an amazing and close view of the Matterhorn. The reception staff was helpful and friendly

The Reception was closed when we got there (11.00 am) but our key and details had been left at Reception. They had sent a message to alert me but I didn't see it as i didn't have access to my emails beforehand. Old World Luxury Hotel that has its best days behind it, still ok though. The hotel was a long way from the station, no problem if you only have light carry on luggage. Take a taxi from the station if you have suit cases. The hotel booked a taxi for us on the way out. The WI Fi was virtually non-existent unfortunately.

I felt the rooms are a bit small in size and pillows are flat and slightly uncomfortable.

The location is perfect, can be reached in less than 5 mins via taxi from Zermatt train station. walking is also possible and takes 15 minutes. Check in / check out process was extremely smooth, the receptionists are great! our room had an amazing balcony with the matterhorn view. The room was tidy and the washroom was clean. Breakfast was an absolute hit with a wide selection of items, will give bonus points for the matterhorn view while having our breakfast! restaurant staff was also kind and friendly!

electronic devices took forever to charge. A long, partly up-hill walk from train station. Construction begins not within ear-shot around 8 am.

Great location. Only a few minute walk to the cable car to Matterhorn, and not too far from the main area of restaurants. Amazing view of the Matterhorn from my balcony. It was quiet until about 8 am.

First is the location. It has one of the best views of the Matterhorn. Close to the lifts. 950 meters from the train station and outside the city center. We really enjoyed our check in with Gareth. He was very accommodating upon our arrival and with providing a few relaxing drinks after our trip. You will find breakfast to be very well stocked with a variety of foods. Enjoy the view..

Decent walk from train station with luggage, best to catch a taxi if you have a lot of luggage. perhaps more expensive due to booking when a race was on and town was very busy.

Excellent Matterhorn view from balcony, spacious room and bathroom, good breakfast included. Staff were very helpful and took our coffee order at breakfast and made what we wanted.

Very friendly personel and helpful when I twisted my ankle. Tasty breakfast and for sure sauna as well as jacuzzi was very good choice after treking in mountains or other activities. Nice view from balkoon, cleany and comfortable.

The rooms are a little outdated and the shower is a bit weird, but overall I would highly recommend this place and definitely stay again upon a return trip to Zermatt.

The views from the room were absolutely breathtaking. It was amazing waking up to a perfect view of the Matterhorn every morning!!! Staff was exceptionally friendly and the breakfast buffet had tons of options.

- missing attention to details: for example, the room's old fashioned radio / alarm clock was charming and could have actually been useful to me (as I wanted to set up a wake-up alarm), but its clock was broken - the diversity and quality of the breakfast items could be improved

- clean and comfortable (although small) room with a balcony - the breakfast room had a welcoming atmosphere and great views - wellness facilities were very nice and beneficial for relaxing. Their limited opening hours were a bit problematic to me (only 4-8 p.m., and I was not told about it when I contacted them earlier to let them know what time I planned to use the facilities), but Nicole at the front desk was quite helpful in addressing the issue and enabling my use by providing early access after check-out the next day

We had booked a Matterhorn view room. Location was fantastic and hotel was very good. What stood out the most was how helpful the staff was. We had a very tight schedule but the host helped us with taxi from station and early checkin and early breakfast on the next day. Overall, a great hotel.

Like most places in Switzerland it is pricey. For what you get its expensive because you are a captive audience. Still highly recommended.

the mattresses need to be replaced as they are already sunk in the middle. the shower should have a higher position.
