How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
Guidelines and standards for Reviews

Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.

1 & 2 floor look directly to waggons -up the 4. floor much better ( different in quality ) view👍
Breakfast was -Buffet -very good & incl coffee with nice cups- also wellness& Fitness room super👌 on the top with view on Bodensee- and also large rooms with much daylight from allside. Fast check in on computer in the garage - practibel

No coffee and tea making facilities in the room. No mini bar Incomplete set for hygiene (set for shaving and brushing teeth is missing) Two mattresses in a French bed
Good sound insulation, especially in the morning, no noise is heard, which is common in other hotels. Excellent parking in the garage with direct access to the rooms.

The vanilla smell in the rooms was perhaps a bit too strong
The big windows and the spacious rooms made rooms feel really nice. I loved the sauna area: I was there for hours just relaxing and bathing.

the room temp was way too high and not yet regualted well; no A/C available
brand new hotel with fast checkin (righ from the parking garage); staff in restaurant and breakfast was very friendly and nice. The room is spacy, brand-new, has all you need, good bed, good shower / toilet.

Just some minor things: the screen-keyboard from auto-checkin is not very accurate. I had a hard time entering my data. Wardrobe should have some illumination. Apart from that everything was perfect.
Lakeview from Sauna and Fitness is unbeatable. We had an excellent sleep. Delicous breakfast. Location was perfect for Motorcycle tours to Appenzeller mountains (Säntis, Ebenalp, hoher Kasten).

Would be good to have a fan or AC during these newer longer spells of heatwave and milder temperatures.
Overall nice proximity to the town and train station. Self-check in was good.

Everything was great. The staff gave such a warm welcome!
Amazing, hardworking staff, beautifully decorated, amazing coffee, great breakfast. It's a great location for our cycling holiday next to Lake Konstanz. Gym, sauna, parking . . Can you ask for anything more?

Room was located to the main street, in the early morning it was noisy. There were no option to chose a room-location during the check in process.

Unmanned reception with self check-in station. I had two reservations numbers for two rooms: one worked perfectly, the second took half an hour to go through, thanks to a help-desk you've got to call (+41, not a free number). Internet didn't work: the first help-desk mentioned an android problem and asked me to restart the devices. After dinner when I returned and had my devices re-booted, it still didn't work. I informed a second help desk who promised to check: it worked after a while. Got into the room: very warm temperatures. Called a third help-desk who said it's centrally managed and couldn't help, so I slept with open window. They offer "better" prices as there's construction works around in this period. They're evidently not ready to welcome guests, so if you really really want to go there, I suggest you to wait when they're fully ready.
brand new hotel with large and clean rooms. Nice position close to center, to the lake, and to main roads out from town. Very kind help-desk team, but I wish you shouldn't need them.

The cleaning service, or room service do nothing concerning cleaning , they left used towels in the room, used glass cups and did not bother to clean anything.. In the breakfast , staff can bother to talk together than filling the empty food trays
The location was perfect for my trip , on the train station which is great
