Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.

GermanyThe price is much to high for what you get. Things have a lot of wear. Carpets in the room are to old to be cleaned. Bathrooms are nice but old and have no good water sealing, so that there is no good smell. The ventilation stinks. Thats absolutely not acceptable for this category. Beakfast is not worth the price. There is no buffet. You have to beg and wait for every piece that you want.
The hotel is a museum. You can feel and see history. The view from the sea side room is good, but not best, because part of the hotel is blocking the view. Hotel stuff is very friendly and helpful. This is the best part.

QatarThe management should consider what is happening in the reception it’s just funny each person laying and creating stories just like what happened to me and another guest told me they gave them lower category than what they booked
The hotel team are playing with the reservations based on their preferences. I booked Room with Lake View and paid for lake view and was shocked when I checked in by the receptionist that it’s park view and when I asked her why it’s not as what I booked and paid she told me there are no more available room. Her manager Sara created another story that Booking.com didn’t translate in English the category of the room correct and it’ should not be lake view it’s park view and when I checked with Booking.com I was informed that the info written by the hotel and after showing her the message she changed the room to be same as what I booked. Very poor service when I had tea and paid and got someone else following me outside with another bill to pay again and I had to go inside again to show her it was paid. Everyone have key even the butler لا انصح فيه ابداً opened our room while we asked him to wait.

CanadaThe service of the hotel is very good. But you need to be careful with your belongings. One of my mobile phones which I put above my computer disappeared . I checked through I cloud and it pointed out the phone was in a residential building twenty minutes away from the hotel by car. The hotel showed me their records. No one cleaned my room that day. I had to ask one of the hotel staff to go with me to the room to check and prove to him that the room was indeed cleaned by the hotel . Finally, I chose to report to the police . Three hours after when I returned from the police station, my phone was lying on the bed sheet. I don't know what happened in between . Just a reminder that everyone should be more careful with your personal belonging . Other than this , everything else were perfect .
