Comfortable room within walking distance of Basel old town. Staff were friendly and communciations prior to stay were excellent. Value for money overnight for those travelling through Switzerland

Very clean and comfortable. Small shower cubicle, but ok for me who is not very tall. The only reason not giving 10 for comfort is that one more pillow in the bed would have been good! Nice and fresh breakfast buffet.

Location was good and the hotel was so close to historical places that we wanted to visit. The lady welcomed us was very kind and helpful to us. Also all of the people in Basel were kind and we loved Basel much more than we expected by the help of them. Room was clean and adequate for 2 people. Bed was comfortable. We are planning to visit Basel and stay in this hotel again next year.

The location, but I have to admit I made the mistake of not checking the map thoroughly enough. Although it is close to the city center, you still have to walk a bit and with all the tram-overpass-every-direction-traffic, it is sometimes a chore. Again my mistake, but something to consider for next time.

I loved the room, even tho it was small, it was cosy enough and more than perfect for a one-weekend stay. Clean as it gets, so kudos for the team handling it. Staff was also kind and helpful, even made the effort to re-print our BaselPass, for the last day, went the extra mile to help us out, very pleased with their effort and help.

A beautiful little hotel with polite and helpful staff. Clean room and had all the facilities we needed. Very close ( walking distance 10-15 minutes) to everywhere in the city station, river and all the sightseeings. Christmas markets and nice restaurants were only 10 minutes from the hotel. Love our stay at Birsighof and will definetely recommend it and also stay again next time we are in Basel. Forgot to mention the little magnets from different places of the world on the lift door that give the place a home away from home touch 😊

It was clean, welcoming, and very good value for money for a one night stay. A 10 minute walk from the station, and very helpful staff. I didn’t have the full breakfast, but it looked fresh and offered all continental options.

We were maid to believe that there is a free breakfast (it says so on Google and also Booking didn't mention any options of choosing with our without breakfast, just that the hotel offers a good breakfast). But the breakfast was not free of charge which could have maid a difference when choosing the hotel. Parking is almost impossible in Basel, so that was a challenge also at the hotel.

The little garden in the back was very pleasant. Also toys for our daughter were available. Good location, tram station is nearby, also the Zoo is just a 3-5 minutes walk away.

Well appointed simple hotel. Conveniently situated between the station and the old town on a quiet street. Room and bathroom were smallish but we had what we needed. They let us have a fan in very hot weather.
