I personally did not like the paper bath towels, otherwise everything was great!

Dea is a super super nice host! Very friendly, very kind, flexible and has great suggestions :) Extremely nice breakfast! We even got an upgrade for a private bathroom!

A bit tricky to stop and getting there in particular after parking the car as the street and as many others in that region has no sidewalk.

Fantastic place and location with a beautiful steep staggered garden and a fantastic view towards Lago Di Maggiore and Isola Di Brisago. And then the breakfast spread, nicely done up homemade goodies by the host and Ticino cheese to be taken in the guest lounge with again 'the view'

Parking was a bit awkward on a parking lot close by down the narrow and busy lake road so please make sure with your torch or mobile light to be seen by the traffic at night.

The breakfast was very good with lots of choice. The most stunning aspect of this property is how it's built flat into the mountain around the lake with three garden terraces above offering grand views over Lago Maggiore.

The only downside is the road from the bus stop - without pavement, but don't be scared - it is only a few meters and drivers are aware of that :)

The host is very kind and helpful. Knows a lot about local attractions and can recommend anything you can ask for. Rooms are clean, common room is spacey and packed with guides about region. Garden is awesome! The view is breathtaking, and you can freely eat delicious home-made breakfast in it! Can really recommend this place :)

I thoroughly enjoyed my stay at bnb122, which is truly a home away from home - Dea always tries to go out of her way to help make my stay even more pleasant, including the most amazing homemade breakfasts I've had, and even kindly offering me a ride to the next town after missing the bus. Come with an open mind, try out everything offered at breakfast (as I did - you definitely won't be disappointed), and enjoy the garden terrace view overlooking the lake! Hope to be back in the near future soon for another stay :)

Parking is always difficult in this area. But the landlady was very helpful and accommodating. The property is also on the main road which can make walking a challenge.

The breakfast was superb. We had a wonderful welcome and the landlady gave excellent recommendations for dinner. The property is wonderfully and quirkily decorated. The beautiful garden has fantastic views over the lake. I'd recommend this location to all.

- The pillows were really bad. We only had one each and it had no support at all. It’s a shame because the bed itself was comfortable. - Only one bus an hour into Ascona or Locarno.

Thank you so much Dea for everything! I felt like home at bnb122, it was comfortable and clean, Dea was so friendly and cares really good for her guests. The breakfast was delicious, with homemade bread and jam and a lot of extras. And having breakfast in the beautiful small garden with view to the lake is fantastic. I had only to get used to the road under the house, but it is okay.

Room bigger than expected, very nicely arranged. The house is amazing! A lot of souvenirs, photos and books from and about India and another countries of Eastern Asia. Exceptional furniture in the living room, which is available for guests anytime. You can feel the positive spirit created by Dea ❤️ Coffee, tea and hand made cakes are available all day. Breakfast is delicious and rich: musli, handmade bread, local cheese, eggs, meat, toasts, jams, joghurts, cakes, nuts and fruits. Sometimes other specialties, depending on Dea's creativity. You can eat breakfast or drink coffee in the Wild Garden just above the house, with breathtaking view to the lake and mountains. There are romantic colorful lights in the evening, comfortable sofas and palm trees. Dea is an excellent partner to talk, but doesn't impose on anyone. I'd love to come there again!!

The via cantonale is narrow close to the house. So approaching and leaving the house is a bit tricky.

Dea puts a lot of effort in making the guests feel welcome and comfy. The breakfast includes tasty home made pastries and snacks. The garden is perfect to relax and to have a great view over the lake.

Not ideal if you are noise-sensitive. The main road in front of the house can be scary for some. We stayed during one of the very rare, cold summer nights, so the light blankets weren't enough.

Beautifully located with a dream view over the lake, very warm and welcoming atmosphere, nicely decorated, and amazing breakfast. The room was spacious. Dea is a super generous, friendly, and helpful host! Thank you!

I would prefer a coffee maker without capsules for the environment but still the coffee is good ;-)

Beautiful place to stay with good breakfast! Public areas are furnished with a lot of love and the garden is just perfect to relax and have some wine. Dea is very helpful and can guide you to easy accessible parking lots and give you valuable tips for restaurants in Ascona. Just ask her!

Due to the busy road in front, its difficult to sleep with the window open for the two lake facing rooms. When the windows are shut, you can barely hear them. We took advantage of the ticino card and took public transport (i don’t think I would want to drive to be honest!). Be aware there is a bus every hour so its not always easy to run back to the hotel to change and then go out. That being said, I loved being situated away from the city center but wish we had quicker access to places to jump into the lake

Comfy and clean bed and breakfast, with a delicious breakfast and a wonderful view. We traveled as a group of 8, therefore we were able to see the majority of rooms. All the rooms were comfy and fitted with a fan to help with those warm evenings. The shared bathroom and showers were kept clean. Dea was extremely welcoming and very helpful with giving us local tips. The living room also has lots of brochures and useful info to take away. The breakfast is freshly prepared every day (home-made bread!)...we especially loved that Dea added or changed some of the dishes everyday to give us something new to try. It was also cool that she had milk alternatives like oat milk for us to use. The best part...eating our breakfast with the wonderful view. It was so peaceful and it is evident that a lot of love has been put into making the garden area very special.

-The mattress on our bed was too soft, we are used to much harder ones. -The house is on the road, so you can hear cars passing by if your windows are open.

+ The room was perfect - cozy, clean, big. + Fans in the room for hot summers + We had a huge bathroom with enough mirrors and places for our stuff. + The room was so spacious that I could even do yoga in the room. + The view from the window was fantastic! + But most of all we loved the garden terrace with two comfy hammocks. It had an amazing view! We really enjoyed our breakfast on that terrace. Dea is a great host - the house is full of her warmth and you feel welcome, as if you are her good old friend ♥️

We only had a thin duvet, but upon request Dea gave us extra blankets.

Dea welcomed us very nicely. She was very helpful with answering our questions and reserving a place in a restaurant. She runs the B&B with all her heart and you can see all her loving touches everywhere. She has a beautiful garden. A good place just to be and enjoy. There are stairs, but I think people over 60 can climb them very well, too. It depends on the mobility of a person not on someone's age. Although the B&B is next to the road you can not hear the noise of the cars. Dea's home has very good windows.
