Meals at the hotel are on the expensive side. We opted for breakfast in the city - just a couple of blocks away. There are plenty of wonderful options for lunch and dinner as well.

The elevator near the front desk led to the Christmas Markets just a block away. Also, one block away was the tram in and out of the city - it could not be easier to get around. And we were provided with Basel Cards that covered all transportation for the enirety of our stay. The front desk people were very helpful, directing us on where to go.

No big choice for breakfast & only 1 egg per person. The mattress was a bit too hard.

Location is very good and the staff are very friendly. It was clean and quiet. Also they gave me a Basel card, which gave me a 50% discount in museums and free public transport. Amazing

The hotel is very pleasant, the atmosphere and decoration of the restaurant are great, our room was overlooking Basele and had a view of the Christmas markets. The breakfast was very sufficient. The employees are friendly. You can reach the hotel from the street by elevator directly to the reception. Do not give up booking this hotel because of the stairs.

Very convenient location, friendly staff, good breakfasts, hotel provides free bus cards, tasty coffee and tee are waiting at every floor. As the hotel is in the old building we were little bit worry about utilities, like weak water pressure or problems with sewerage, ventilation (common problems with old building). But no, there weren't any problems with that, everything works perfectly.

Narrow or very narrow beds in the 2 bedroom is not really confrontable

is an historic building and a classic place in the middle of an 800-year-old city. Building may h ave over 500 years and is off course well renovated preserving the original architecture

There was no tea/coffee making facilities in our room which was disappointing. The TV reception was poor with limited UK broadcast except for news Chanel’s.

The location, the staff were great, room was comfy and large, the shower was hot and powerful. The breakfast was good, with buffet and choice of freshly made eggs. Arrived early and left our bags and on leaving was also allowed to leave them while we went for our last walk around the City.

Our room on the top floor was excellent. We had a great view of the nearby church lit up at night it was excellent. The bathroom was great and the room we had was spacious. Having an elevator in the building was a bonus for getting our luggage up to the room.

There wasn't much we didn't like. Initially it was fairly difficult to find, but once we found it, it was easy to locate!

Hotel staff were very good, knowledgeable, and very helpful. If we needed information on where to eat, or setting up our wifi, they were there to help! The most comfortable bed I've ever slept on!! Great location for sight seeing, and shopping!

Wonderful location excellent staff. Relaxed and attentive. This is a very low key hotel if you like to have a relaxed approach. All facilitlies availble and a very comfortable stay. I will certainly be returning on my next trip.

Terrific location, in lovely part of town. Hotel in courtyard setting so very quiet, no traffic. Very comfortable rooms although the shower was a bit of a squeeze! Breakfast very good and dining room an interesting place in itself. Unfortunately, we were unable to have dinner there during our stay. Staff so helpful. Plenty eating choices nearby to suit all tastes. Would recommend this hotel and definitely stay again.

A very nice hotel with good, friendly and helpful staff. They gave me excellent instructions as to how to get there’re from the airport which worked perfectly.
