There is some noise in the room entire night, probably that's the way the air ventilation is built. Otherwise the place would be just perfect as a one night stay. As the place is a 40-50 minutes walk from both neighbor towns, the only place to eat is the restaurant on the ground floor. It looks great, however, we did not have a chance to experience it, as it was closed for both dinner and breakfast (low season, I guess).

Located opposite the castle, on the side of the road. However, when the windows are closed no car noise comes inside. The view from the windows - on the lake and the castle - is beautiful. The room was very nice and clean. The staff was very helpful.

Restaurant was closed, so there was no option to eat in the hotel. This should have been informed prior. It would have been nice to have atleast a coffee machine and a vending machine accessible all the time. The location is a little remote and hence this would be a great advantage for all customers.

Location is execellent, if you want to spend time in isolation near a lake and great views of the mountain. You can peek out of the window to have a view of the famous Chillon castle! Public transport to main city is also well connected.

There is no holder for the showerhead in the sharing bathroom. The functioning of heating machine need to be checked and fixed.

There was no sign for the hotel outside it. Therefore, I had some difficulty locating it.

I thank the owner of the hotel, Michele who helped me beyond his responsibility when I was a lone first-time visitor to Switzerland which was not easy at all. Kind Michele made my trip to Switzerland less difficult.

The address didn't have the street number on and the flat was up some steps beside a restaurant that was closed so there was no one to ask where it was as the name 'Castle view'was nowhere to be seen. It was my fault that I hadn't realised that my phone data wouldn't work in Switzerland as it did in the rest of Europe so an earlier phone call could have saved us a lot of searching time. ( We were helped by the kind people at the Café who rang the owner from there - they were fantastic). We didn't meet anyone as everything was done over the phone. There is no air conditioning so it was important to get in and close the curtains and window to keep the heat out, but there is a small fridge which is helpful. No kettle or coffee maker.

Loved the view and the location was amazing right next to the lake and opposite the Castle and café. Also the ensuite bathroom was lovely. You could watch YouTube on the TV...

No chair in the room. You can hear people behind the wall, but it was not super loud.

Clean, super close to the lake ( right across the street). Some tea and coffee in the room. Quite roomy bathroom for such a small place. Good communication with the host. Super easy check in and check out.

There is no reception area. We had to ask the restaurant below how to get in. We walked up some cringy stairs and saw the maid who gave us our keys. -no waste basket in the room -no curtains (the light from the street kept us awake -no coffee only tea in the room -dangerous outlet next to sink -NO front desk or anyone to ask for something?!

While the setting of this hotel was undeniably lovely with its picturesque views of the castle and lake, I was disappointed to find that there was no hairdryer available in the room

My stay was absolutely wonderful. The room had a stunning view of the castle and lake, making it a serene escape. The bed was incredibly comfortable. Highly recommended for anyone seeking a tranquil getaway with beautiful views.
