Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

SpainAccess to the hotel (on 5th and 6th floor of a building) is a bit odd at first, but fine once you get used to it.
Bright spacious room with a nice view and even a balcony! Nice staff at reception. Good and convenient location. For Geneva, quite good value.

IrelandThe rooms were cramped and hot even though we had a fan. The bathroom was unusual, but plenty of hot water
The central location was great. Both receptionists were very helpful

United KingdomAlthough perfectly located the drawback was the noise at night from passers by. There’s not much the hotel can do about that and they do provide complimentary ear plugs on arrival.
The location was perfect and everything was in easy reach. We walked everywhere and made use of the Geneva pass for public transport (we had this emailed to us prior to our stay which was extremely helpful as we used it to get from the airport when we arrived). Staff were helpful & gave us specific directions of where to go for a reasonable breakfast (Croissant or pain au chocolat and a hot drink for €8). The room was adequate and we had opted for a twin which included shower & basin in the room with a shared toilet which was near the room. Another nice touch was complimentary ear plugs (also a forewarning of what was to come haha) and chocolates!

United StatesLack of coffee maker. The room is small by US standards, but we didn't book this hotel to stay in the room. As with a lot of European locations the elevator is a 2 person car.
Hotel Central Location is what makes this hotel. We are the type of traveler that books hotels for location to do what we want to do not to lounge in our hotel rooms. Hotel Central is withing walking distance of literally most of Geneva’s main attractions. And those that aren’t within walking distance you can reach with the free public transportation card provided by the hotel and the main bus/train line is right out your door. The room is equipted with most everything you need: private bath, balcony, TV. One glaring omission is a coffee maker. It’s the only room we’ve ever been to where the entry way is through the bathroom. The room is small by US standards but fits right in with the Europe. A nice touch were the ear plugs provided but the city noise was not a problem for us. The hotel is a 15 min walk from Geneva’s main train station. The reception is on the 6th floor and the entry door is locked as the building is shared with other businesses. There’s a key pad to the left, use the buttons to scroll to Hotel Central and press the intercom and they will let you in. We found the staff very friendly and helpful. Check in is in the afternoon but our flight arrived in the morning. They were able to accommodate us and let us check in early which was a huge help. We would stay there again and recommend Hotel Central.

PortugalThe shower is inside the room, separated only by a small curtain. The shared toilet is outside (that's ok) but it doesn't have a sink... you have to walk back to your room to wash your hands.
The location is really central and the bed was comfortable. We were provided earplugs and there were two small balconies to read and enjoy fresh air.

FranceToilet flush mechanism was a bit noisy.
We chose for the location and were not disappointed. Despite the very central and convenient location, the room was surprisingly quiet. Reception staff were efficient and went out of their way to be helpful. Travel passses included in the price were a bonus.

United KingdomWe found the room arrangement weird since entrance is to the bathroom and then a door leads to the bedroom. The bathroom wasn’t great, but this was the most affordable option therefore we expected it.
Location was excellent next to main attractions, shops, bars and restaurants. Receptionists were friendly and helpful when needed. Check in and out was easy and we could store our luggage on the day we were leaving until our bus left.

PortugalRoom was small, the entrance was through the bathroom it was strange. Very small shower.
The receptionist was very friendly, gave us a lot of useful information. When you book a room, days before the arrival they give a geneva transport card for free and you can use it to travel from the airport to the hotel and use it to get around in the city. The bed was comfortable and if the noise from the street or the other guests it's to much, they provide earplugs.

PhilippinesThe layout is a bit weird. You open the door and you are welcomed by the toilet. It doesn't have exhaust so the humidity and smell stays. If you happen to have a room without windows or balcony, that may be a problem. Pillows need upgrading because when you sleep on them, they just lay super flat and there is basically no neck support.
Our room had a tiny balcony which helped because there were moments that it was so hot in the room and opening the balcony freshened it up. They offer 2 tiny welcome chocolates and 2 sets of earplugs, appreciate that. The bed was comfy and the beddings were clean and cozy. The staff members were really helpful and awesome. And of course, the location is unbeatable! Right there at the center with a minute access to where you can eat, go shopping, take the trams etc. The public library is also just beside it. LOVE!
