How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
Guidelines and standards for Reviews

The furniture was rather dated and the elevator doesn’t go all the way to the top floor.
It is very very child friendly there. The breakfast was good too. Parking is free, which is great and the rooms were equipped with one fan each. The bus is right there and the ride into the city is included in the stay!!

City connectivity is in every hour, you need to wait.

The room was at the attic and for one of the beds one had to pay attention to the ceiling when passing.
The room was spacious and the personnel very helpful. A bus station for Lucerne is across the street and buses run until midnight to take you to Lucern. A visitor card with free public transport, valid for the bus is provided. There are several facilities and games to entertain children of all ages.

Breakfast has not much choices.
Indoor and outdoor playground!! Definitely a paradise for children. Location is close to highway, easily reached by car. Large parking space. Only 20 minutes bus ride to Lucerne and the hotel provide tourist card for guests so we can take the bus for free.

Rooms were fine, bathroom also ok with everything to make use of, however the rooms, furnishings, and the bathrooms do need updating, and modernizing, brightening up and the curtains lighter too, and the lighting also quite dim. It is just older, perfectly OK just needs a newer refurb. Didn't put us off and we would stay again. 🙂
Parking was easy and good, free for guests too. Location great to get into Luzern, easy by bus outside the hotel and use of guest card ticket free travel which reception gave us. Breakfast very good plenty of choice. Room was good, very clean, beds comfortable.

The bathroom could be renovated
All was good, not far away from the motorway. The bathroom is very small in comparison to the room itself. Nice view over the Alps. God breakfast.

No air conditioning, but that’s usual in Europe.

no lift to 3rd floor if you get a room on 3rd floor u have to go to 2nd floor by lift and carry ur luggage through stairz

Been ringing the hotel for about 2 hrs and there was no one to answer. We arrived late and wanted some ice as was very hot, no staff around from 5pm. We went to bed hungry as unable to order a meal (room service). Train only operates on Wednesday, Saturday and Sunday, children were disappointed. The only hot item available for breakfast were eggs that you have to cook yourself.
An extra bed made up for one of my children. Nice soft play and the grounds.

A good hotel with big playground. Childen will absolutely loving it. There is a lift to the second floor but stairs to the third floor. The room was clean and comfortable. The bathroom was also clean. The staff were hospitable. A good place to stay for family. There is a nearby supermarket named ALDI if you need anything.
