The matresses were too soft for our taste. They allowed a good sleep, though.

Beautiful location in a quiet small village outside Yverdon. Safe parking space with electrical chargers if needed. Good internet connection. International TV available in the room. Kettle and Coffee very practical. Furniture and explanation of the historic location excecptional.

Absolutely loved this place. The Chateau and gardens were beautiful. We stayed for 2 days and enjoyed using the heated swimming pool, relaxing in the sun, reading, walking around the grounds and exploring. The rooms have been very tastefully decorated and the breakfast was very good. Our hosts were very friendly and helpful and we will definitely be going back to visit. We ate in one of the village restaurants, which was also very good....We liked everything :-)

Ladies should not wear high heals, as they would be ruined by the walk from the carpark. There is no lift and rather a lot of stairs. So older guests might find it too much, but if fit, do not be put off.

Such an interesting place, beautiful and well designed - we had a very good quiet night and an excellent breakfast with most things home made. Very friendly service too. We hope we can return, well worth a visit.

It was all perfect. The host was the most charming, helpful and kind person. Always available to help. Before showing us to our room he gave us a small tour of the space even though it was already late. Cell reception inside the room was not optimal but to me it worked wonders, less work related calls, that's why I'm not putting it in the negative. The room was perfect, super comfy and cosy. I recommend at 100% that everyone try their spa, it was the best kept spa I visited.

Chateau de Mathod was a very nice place to spend two nights at. The hosts were very helpful and kind. The rooms and the whole interior is well picked and thought through. The breakfast was selfmade and homegrown specialities which we enjoyed very much.

everything perfect. highly recommendable. plenty of time (a week, several weeks or even months) necessary to explore and to deeply enjoy the estate and the region. No chance to be bored :)

Spa and wellness was sadly closed, they only open in the winter as its not economical to keep both the pool and wellness at the same time, If I had noticed this I may have booked elsewhere. Photos on booking.com showed more communal spaces and a snooker table etc, these were not available or shown to us as guests. Swimming pool area open at specific times, closes at lunchtime and very early in the evening - 17:30.
