Rooms and common areas need renovation

Simple and comfortable small hotel nicely located in the best part of Engadine valley and at short distance from St. Moritz. Ideal for cross-country sky lovers in the winter and for walks in the stunning surroundings year round. The hotel needs renovation, however the price is below the average for similar establishments in the area, the staff is super kind and a good breakfast is served in the morning

The worst Spaghettis in my life? Not freshly cooked, just warmed up in the microwave. A mini portion (150g), enough for a child or someone on a diet. Not salted. Three sauces, none of them tasty. A scandal for the money (about 25 francs?) What a pity bec. the personnel was cheerful. The food was altogether overpriced, and even if price was no object, those spaghetti were not up to the standing of the remainder of the place. Let me send you a picture of the overcooked spaghetti mini-portion. Amazing, the service personnel did not blush. The place calls itself steak-house, except that there is, I believe, no steak, its all hamburgers in various iterations. Pity the personnel at breakfast speaks Italian only, plus some English - no German, no Swiss German, no French :-(

I ate dinner in the restaurant of the hotel, and had a bit of an argument with a waiter over beer -- they only list beers without alcohol, and it was quite a struggle to get a beer with alcohol. Since the village has very few restaurants, the hotels have a monopoly though there is an excellent restaurant, the Eidelweiss, in Sils Maria.

The hotel was very comfortable, in an old style but with a certain prestige. The room had a small balcony looking out over the lake of Sils where I could sit and watch the sunset. The bed was very comfortable, the room spacious, and well equipped. The receptionist was helpful and gave me a good map of all the walks of the area, forest paths, and the odd geography of Sils Beglia and Sils Maria, twin villages. The breakfast was very good in quality and quantity. There is free parking behind the hotel.

Previous guest smoked in room I first received - after complaint, hotel kindly changes & upgraded my room. New room, obviously, didn't smell. Very nice staff across the object.

The stairs and path to the ski room should have been cleared more, there was ice and it was very slippery and treacherous to walk on, I nearly fell twice.

The staff is very nice and very caring. The room was quiet, clean, lots of day light. The breakfast is delicious and the restaurant very cozy.

We travelled with our dog - staffordshire terrier Lara, she was going with us crosscountry skiing. Location of this hotel is for this type of activities perfect, plus dogs are welcome. Personal of the hotel was very warm and friendly. Gastronomy in this hotel was also lovely. I will be happy to come back again.

The attitude of the blond waiter serving us at the dinner in the restaurant, he looked kind of like bored or not interested at all. Additionally, we asked for a water carafe to serve along with the wine, we asked twice, but newer got it. However we were charged for this! 3.50chf per 1/2L of tap water, which even has never been served, though we asked twice. We were promised to get this cleard on our accommodation bill by check out, but the water was still there! We asked to light up the candle on the table at the dinner, twice, but this also newer happened.

Whole room in old style, but very clean and functional (nothing broken). Bed mattress definitely need change - hard, noisy and uncomfortable. Evening dinner quite expensive and without vegetarian option - paying 50 CHF for menu and getting as offer instead of Deer meat just omlet is not real option.

Very good location, close to main road, but still no noises from it. Very clean room, despite old style arranged room. Good breakfast, with moderate variability on table. Very good heating in room and bathroom. Very hot water in the shower.

Everything was perfect.

This is a very nice, clean hotel with very friendly staff and an above average restaurant. We have stayed here several times because the location is great and the price is very good for this area. We always enjoy our time here. Great base for hiking, skiing and biking!

Well… beware of low ceilings 😊 as in most of Switzerland 🇨🇭

In restaurant delay between order and served meal was over 40 minutes in my case. I guess it was exceptional.....

Lady who is working on the reception is absolutely fantastic. She explained me everything concerning the hotel activities and offered services. Garage for the motorcycle is available too. Room is very quiet. Hotel is next to the main road on exceptional place. Surrounding is great.
