Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.

United Arab Emirates-The /waiter on duty on 19th April evening was rude , I was explaining to her about my dietary restrictions and just clarifying further that I have a combination of gluten and lactose intolerance ( because I know there is a lack of awareness regarding the combination, people often confuses lactose with gluten they think their are the same ) when she suggested what is on the menu that I can eat I just asked again that these suggestions are both gluten and lactose free, she kept responding I told you ! I told you ! in a rude way . -to add that when she brought me the bread on the table she did not take it from the plastic bag nor severed the Bread in a plate or a basket , I found it very unprofessional for such a restaurant . -she was a bit discriminative. - Pillows are not comfy need some enhancement . -they kept one soap bar for my whole stay , they even did not notice that sops bar was completely used and that they need to replace it . they refilled the shower gel though. -the bed has some hair and bed sheets were not changed on daily or at least every two days . they kept the same bed sheets for my whole stay.

IrelandThere is no reception at the hotel and the restaurant space has been rented out to a pop up restaurant that has no link to the hotel. It’s means there is no room service and you have to walk to the park hotel (about a 3-4 min walk away) for breakfast. When checking in, you also have to go to the park hotel to check in. Quite inconvenient and given the size of the hotel, I don’t understand why there cannot be a reception on site. It has put me off staying here again. Although it’s probably a bit nicer then the Park, I will stay at the Park in future.

United KingdomThe bed is not soft at all and is like sleeping on a hard concrete slab. Check out has to be done in a different hotel down the road which is not convenient :( Secret garden restaurant is a fancy restaurant with crazy prices for very little food. If you want to charge those prices then at least offer the service to align with those prices : I asked the waitress how long does the salmon take to cook and she stared at me blankly and said ‘I don’t know’ - seems like they don’t want to try or make any effort at all to answer a reasonable question that any guest could ask lol
