The shower curtain should really finally be shortened! You can hear others in the house walking (but i knew, bring some noise cancelling head phones and you sleep perfect)

It is an old characterful building - no lift!

This is a basic old-style hotel, a short walk from the Marktplatz tram/bus stop. Access is via a PIN and collecting a key at the door. We did not actually meet any personnel and it is self-catering in terms of any snacks or breakfast. The room was pleasant, and clean; there is a shared kitchen (shared I think with just one other room on the same floor) and a shared bathroom and a separate rather small toilet. The kitchen has crockery, cutlery, kettle etc.

Very squeaky floor boards means there are no secrets in this old building.

Perfect location, right next to the Marktplatz and really easy to get in and set up. Room and bed were bigger than expected and kitchen was a nice unexpected benefit. Saves a lot of money in Switzerland to have access to a proper kitchen!

There were notes everywhere how to behave, probably caused by non-conscious guests. Smoking from downstairs came into the room, which is really disturbing. Bad lighting to find the house number and to handle the box for the keys at night. No number on the box for the correct room.

Location is a bit noisy (road), so I think it might be a bit difficult to sleep if windows are open.

Pretty exciting place, had the top floor room, or should I say spacious studio. The bathroom was shared with one other guest, but I never saw him/her. Good location, very close to city centre. Quirky and fun decoration. St Gallen itself is a great place to visit East Switzerland etc from, and it's a charming little town.

Our food was thrown away without any notice and we didn’t really receive an explanation from them. The bed is quite uncomfortable.

If you have big luggage, quite difficult to bring the luggage up.

Location is close to Restaurants and Shops. Comfy beds. Though it is a shared bathroom, barely have traffic or line. Loved the kitchen where we use to prepare our breakfast for as early as 6am. Great communication with property owner.

there was a marihuana shop in the building, right in te entry isle, and it cause me a bad overall impression of the place… I understand that it is an old building, and that wood can be noisy, but a little bit of oil in the door hinges would help a lot.

it is close to a marihuana shop and at times it stinks of marihuana smoke. for those of us who dont like marihuana, this is a very bad experience. Also, it is a poorly insulated building against noise, so you can hear every noise fromm the other people.

Very convenient location. Best value for money! The kitchen is very useful. Switzerland can be very expensive for travellers, so cooking noodles or egg for breakfast can save you more money while enjoying the sights and scene in the city.
