I should admit I felt disrespected and offended by the russian receptionist lady. When she found out that I was originally from Ukraine, she offered me that, now I quote “I can speak russian. As you’re Ukrainian, you should understand russian” end of quote… I am honestly shocked! Should I really explain to someone in 2024 that there exists Ukrainian nation and Ukrainian language?! And that all happening while my family in Ukraine is every day bombed by russians! I really suggest that you should organise some history classes for that receptionist russian lady so she learns about all crimes / genocide russia committed against my People and please have more respect for every language.

The hotel is located in a good place just near the train station and the Old Town. The breakfasts are nice (please consider also offering omelet :). The room was clean and comfortable. I really loved to feel history of the building as it’s an older property.

Instructions for check-in were confusing. Why Metropol when Euler was also available?

It was a clean room and quiet enough. There was noise from outside (ground floor) due to the businesses nearby but not bothersome if you close the window. Coffee/tea outside on each floor.

The check in system was a bit confusing. The Hotel Euler does reception for three hotels. It would be convenient to include that on the booking page or in the messages before arrival. The stairs are also steep and the elevator only services a few rooms in the Inn.

The instructions sent to find the hotel were a bit difficult to follow !

Very good basic hotel room, at a good price, located within a few minutes on foot from Basel SBB main rail station and next to one of the main S-bahn (tram) interchanges, so excellently located to access the old town, museums, etc, with the complementary Basel card. For the price you get a decent size room with a shower. Don't expect a view (!) but on the other hand there is scarcely any traffic noise. Complimentary refreshments are not in the room but rather there is a shared coffee & tea station nearby. Note that access is through the Hotel Metropol Basel (for check in) or Hotel Euler (ask for directions). Can recommend nearby Markthalle for food.

The hotel is located inside another hotel which was a bit confusing to find at first -- a bigger sign should be placed outside for travelers. The mattress was quite uncomfortable but fine for a one-night stay. The breakfast did not have many options.

Location was great - just a few minutes from the train station and about 10 minutes walk to the center. The room was nicer/more spacious than expected with an excellent bathroom. Really great service at the reception. Was not expecting a free city transportation card to be included as well!

Small room, I think it was overpriced for the size room and felt a bit cramped

Good location close to train for a quick trip where time was important. Checking in was easy even though I arrived very late and staff were very accommodating. It was great to have a coffee machine in the hallway near my room. Very nice touch!

Check-in extremely unorganized, I kept receiving a bot e-mail asking incessantly to do a check-in in their site, that not always worked, when I got in the hotel there was no one in reception, there was 3 hotels in the same building, without any indicative of where I could get my keys, I Lost quite some time wandering inside the building searching for the right place. And the wi-fi provide didn't reach the bedroom, only half way in the corridor

I didn't mind but some may find the rooms a bit tight.

Spin off of the more upper class hotel 'Euler' yet attached to it. This is the more affordable side-venue. Very well kept and efficient rooms in perfect state. Modern interior, well provisioned bath room. By Basel/Swiss standards quite affordable
