Too many emails were sent for online checkin and checkout.

Excellent location in the center of beautiful Saint Ursanne village. This is a quirky eclectic hotel with unexpected& fun themed rooms ( mine had a swing !). The bathroom was separate to my room but was allocated for only my use. Everything was super clean and the room was comfortable. The staff were friendly and helpful . Online Check in and check out is provided. The restaurant in this hotel offers fantastic food.

Firstly, the spiral staircase is difficult with luggage (there's no lift); & secondly, some of the rooms have basin & shower, but the exclusive toilet is down the hallway - their English website doesn't reveal this fact; so beware when booking !! (To be fair, they upgraded me to a full en suite room) The town is some distance from the railway station.

This hotel is unique, the medieval concept is rather good. And the staff do try hard.

The rooms were a bit worn out (broken things here and there, cheap materials) and felt quite overpriced for hostel-like accommodation. A bit annoying not to have an ensuite bathroom but at least we appreciated that it was private. Breakfast was left in the summer heat and was underwhelming for the 15chf paid, but there aren't many options in town so you can't do much better than this. There was a little cockroach on our table at dinner 😁

Very fun hotel with themed rooms. We loved the set-up and theme. Comfortable beds too. No reception desk, but the staff at the restaurant was very nice and helpful. The restaurant serves good food at dinner.

In the days before our arrival we were bombarded with emails asking for us to check in online (we even received more emails to check in on line after we had checked in - go figure). We arrived at 16:06 and tried to check in at the kiosk which was not working. We asked the person at the ice cream stand by the kiosk where we could get help and they just shrugged their shoulders. We then went to the bar to ask for help. The bartender then tried to check us in with kiosk and informed us that it was not working and we should come back in an hour. We came back later and there were keys at the bar for us. Our room was very small and was not well cleaned. There was dirt in the drawers and the shower didn’t drain (it drained better after we pulled hair out of the drain). We didn’t sleep well as the cooks and kitchen staff were outside our window talking and smoking until after 11:00 pm. They were quiet after we asked them to not talk outside our window (we should have asked earlier in the evening). Breakfast was nice and checkout smooth. In summary, cool concept and nice hotel - but possible that that the checkin process will be rocky and anticipate very small rooms particularly if you are two people. And, I’ve blocked emails from Peanut as I don’t want my inbox flooded with emails from a hotel - i just want to stay at the hotel and not have a virtual relationship with the hotel.

Fun concept and cool renovation. Location is excellent and the commune has a bike room across from the hotel where you can lock, wash and repair bikes.

    An experience to be repeated.

The bed was a bit too hard and the temperature a bit too cool for our taste, but nothing else to mention.

An experience to be repeated. At first, communication was not flowing. The hotel has its own chat channel but as soon as I got in touch with Justine, the communication got fluent, kind, and efficient. The hotel is located in a privileged town. It is a unique spot in the world. Very well-preserved town medieval, it is at the heart of the Jura region with amazing, forests, hills, and rivers. The hotel features a restaurant from morning until evening. Dishes are delicious and cooked with local and seasonal goods. But most of all, the service is really good. Every staff member is willing to help. They are all very kind, and they try to speak a language that you understand. So, if you are visiting this up-to-date hotel and there is something you need, do not hesitate to contact the manager, talk to the housekeeper or the restaurant staff. They will fulfil your wishes!.

Says there is a spa and has signs for a spa but there is no spa and never had been. Ridiculous! The voice for breakfast was very limited and croissants were two days old and very dry! Staff were rude when we had problems with self-checkout machine.

Great location. Nice room. Well decorated and original style.

The peanut theme is present throughout this hotel. Why not serve peanut butter at the breakfast?

This hotel has a charm all its own. It is set up to suggest the medieval era with sound effects in the halls, high beds with sumptuous bedding, showers in wooden cylinders and the latrine across the hall. It made us smile when we first entered the hotel and we continued to enjoy the unusual ambience for our whole visit. The breakfast was great with lots of food choices.
