It was advertised as traditional but the bedroom was cramped and difficult to get round the bed.

Very convenient location and delightful staff. On site brewery brewing their own glacier beer which was very good.

the breakfast was great: a buffet with many choice also for vegetarians and even vegan. The Hotel has charm. There is a mix of old and new (furniture, decoration). The short text giving information on known people and unknown people that used in the past a room, was interesting and gave an insight on the history of the building. I liked it very much and if we come back to Fiesch or to the region we will certainly come back. The restaurant in the Building of the Hotel has great food. It is also perfect if you want to do some cross country skiing. The train station is 5 min walking away and from there you can go with the train to Oberwald, a center worldwide for cross country skiing. No car needed and the train fare is included win the day ticket for the cross country pits (loosen).

All was good.

The hotel is in an historic building, well taken care of. The staff was very helpfull and super nice to us. The room was big, the bed was big and confortable. Breakfast was good. We had dinner in the restaurant all the nights of our stay. The food is very good. The location is few minutes from the gondola, which for us was perfect.

I Extremely noisy building. You can hear everything. 2 tried to sit down and order food and no one came to take my order, I had to go to a different restaurant

We knew this beforehand, but the rooms are old. Like, really old. We didn’t mind this but I do think the price is a bit too high for the facilities it offers. The bathroom is tiny and I would have liked a mini fridge in our room. However, the rooms themselves are really spacious.

We enjoyed our stay at Du Glacier, having a bar and restaurant downstairs that’s open also on Monday’s when everything else is close. They serve really nice food and drinks, just bear in mind that it is pricey like everything in Switzerland. The staff was super friendly and breakfast had all the options you would expect.

Rooms did not have proper curtains, so unable to cover the window for a little privacy or to stop the early morning sun from entering the room and wake you up. According staff hotel was recently taken over and they were in the process of acquiring new curtains, so these should be there by now. Single rooms are very small. No elevator. No airconditioning.

The noisy floors in the corridor of the 3rd floor are an annoyance at the start of the stay but you soon get used to them.

Breakfast was nice, the location is great, the terrasse is superbe to relax after a long hike. Love the sound of the river right next to the hotel, create the perfect white noise to fall asleep in comfy bed. And the staff is super nice!

The shower is rather weak when you turned to the desired hot water setting. Also the size of it and (separate) toilet seems rather small

Very clean. Comfortable bed and beautiful antique furniture throughout. Staffs very helpful in providing advice re matters of touristic concerns. Beautiful and central location (distance from train station). Excellent breakfast buffet. And the coffee is first class! (And I’m a coffee snob 😊)

The only fault we could find was the floorboards on the third storey were very noisy! Could do with them being screwed down.

Lovely traditional hotel with plenty of history. Very good breakfast and evening meal. Do book if you want to an evening meal at the weekend as we found it very popular then. staff were very friendly and helpful. Our room was spacious and wouldn’t hesitate to return.

It is very old, with squeaky floors and kind of creepy. Super tiny bathrooms, not enough space in the room to walk between the beds because there is a sink in front of them and you keep bumping into it every time. It doesn't have an elevator so you have to carry your bags 4 flights of stairs up and down.

The dinner was very good but the breakfast could improve and have more options. The location is very nice and close to the station.

We were told we could use the Jacuzi but to access it you had to go through the busy bar. We asked for dressing gowns and were told we would have to pay for them. We ate every night in the restaurant so spent close to 1000 CHF for three nights which to us was a lot - I objected to having to pay for gown. They said we could change by Jacuzi. It was minus 12 deg C ! We did this in the end, our cloths got wet and froze while we were in and it was cold 36 deg. We asked if it could be warmer for the next day and they said it could go to 38. Next day it was still 36
