The hotel is situated on the outskirts of Frauenfeld. It’s 35 minutes walk to the town centre. There’s a bus (No. 1) which will take you partway to the Joel from the centre but you have to walk a further 250 metres to reach the hotel. Bus is infrequent.

The breakfast was pretty good. Continental breakfast buffet. Good selection of breads, cereals and dairy produce. No cooked breakfast options but that wasn’t a problem. The bedroom was very clean, new furniture and spotless bathroom. The room had wonderful views over the surrounding countryside. You can help yours to drinks in the breakfast room anytime of the day.

There was a very nice lady in the reception on the evening of the 13th. of June. She received guests, did bookings and served varm meals for the guests and she was quite busy. She was just very charming and kind to all guests. Price and quality matched.

When I booked the hotel the location or photo of the hotel did not match what was on the website from travelocity. I did not expect to see the car wash, gas station on the lot. Noisy and smell of gasoline was not pleasant,

Breakfast was very good, better than expected. The room was find for two nights stay. The staff members very extremely helpful and very friendly. Many of my questions were answered and went beyond and above to help me.

One of the male staff taking care of the breakfast and reception didn't refill the Musli container when it was empty at 8 am and told that it will be refilled only the next day. The breakfast was open until 9 am.

The receptionist Ms. Bettina was the perfect host. She had prepared very nice dinner and was very friendly. Coffee and cappucino was available the whole day.

Slightly querky set-up, but everything we needed.... Rooms were clean and very spacious. They have accommodated our large group including bike storage. Highly recommend them!

Didn't know beforehand that the hotel was located on a gas station / car wash. The reception place and common areas are smelly (car liquids) and noisy (car wash).

But the garden-side rooms are big, cosy, nice. You can forget you're on a car wash on this side, except some noise if you open the door on the balcony. The bathroom is practical but the bathtub is slippery /!\ I nearly fell, twice. The included breakfast buffet is ok, not exceptional. The location is great to easily access Stein Am Rhein, Rheinfall and then Zurich.

our room was the roof floor. the area walking from lift/stairs to all rooms was so nice with the view of tree and grass also the wind that so cool. but on the balcony in the room that no wind and inside the room was very hot. the view from balcony was only garage building and main road that noisy day time till late evening but in the night was not noisy because not many cars driving. shampoo and soap in the bathroom were not refill that only 1/3 of bottom nor the body lotion that we saw only 2-3drop the end of bottom.

underground parking of the building which very secured and comfortable to the rooms upstairs directly, the room was clean, the staff was kind as try to explain everything clearly and the breakfast was good with fresh bread (still warm) and many kind of choices but a bit too bad when something was gone that no more refill(for me not the problem)

The room is small but just the right size. Shower and bathroom is excellent. Little terraze is priceless. Breakfast is amazing and free coffee, tea and water throughout the day is great to have available.
