The entrance to the hotel was very welcoming, the staff were exceptional and I was welcomed with a drink and some chips which I took in the very pretty garden, which is why I chose this hotel. The room was clean and the facilities good. I did not take breakfast as I knew there were many places nearby for coffee and a croissant. The location was just right, one stop on the No 30 bus from the SBB, less than a 5 minute walk into the centre of Basel, be mindful there are a quite a few steps, but remember the No 30 bus takes you to the SBB (train station) where there are trams for all over the city. You are given a free pass for trams and buses and also discounted prices for museums and other attractions in the city. I would definitely stay again.

Although the rooms are small, they are well appointed. Excellent shower and comfortable bed. The staff couldn't have been nicer and more helpful and the breakfast was excellent. A short distance away there are very good local restaurants that are not too expensive and its easy to get to ArtBasel which is why we were there. Highly recommend.

You wouldn’t have wanted to spend hours in the room because it was pretty small.

Absolutely everything worked and it was super clean and really comfortable. Ingenious way of presenting coffee pods. Gorgeous garden view accompanied by bird song. Welcome drink of a good glass of wine. The loo and shower were in separate cubicles.

More storage space in the bedroom, eg drawers/shelves. Better plugs that allow converters esp from UK. Larger bathroom which was fine, but compact.

The location and ease of travel from the station by bus thanks to excellent communications from the hotel. The friendly staff, welcome drink, bottled water for onward travel, breakfast and peaceful garden. The proceeds from the hotel support several worthy charities.

The staff was amazing; greeting us outside and bringing in our luggage. I had an issue with checking in with the airport and they made multiple phone calls for me. Gave us good tips on how to get around and what to see. Unfortunately we had to leave too early for breakfast. The afternoon wine was a lovely touch. Another wonderful aspect of the hotel is the garden which is an oasis. Sitting there relaxing amongst the plants, listening to the water and the birds was a real bonus. One would never guess that you were in the midst of the city. So peaceful and relaxing - just what we needed!

I like the cleanliness n comfortable hotel. Easy access to city center n train station.Friendly n helpful staff, lovely garden, nice bf, all in all are appreciated. Definitely, will back to stay again next Basel trip :)

Highly recommended. Our stay was incredible and we were surprised by hotel generously amazing room offer. Nice, friendly and lovely staff. Welcoming drink with chips and goodbye water made us feeling so happy. What can I say more. Our room has been designed kind of antique mixed with modern. We had a Gramophone, Radio and an arty sofa-chair. We loved it! That was the first time we stayed in a 3 stars hotel but honestly, this hotel should be rate as 4 stars. Thank you all for your great hospitality.

We were there for a long stay and we can't feel better. Alex received us with a warm welcome and he solved all our requests for the long stay as well as guiding us in our first visit to Basel. It was awesome, he left everything explained in their system and it was a pleasant way to get everything done and feel good. The hotel was really good, with a beautiful garden and very comfty rooms. It was our first time in Basel and this hotel is going to be our hotel next times. Thanks for everything to the entire team!

This is an excellent place to base yourself and explore Basel. The staff were outstanding... professional,friendly and helpful. They provided tips about where to go and how to get there. The room was immaculate. They are small, but perfectly formed to provide everything you need for a comfortable and quiet stay. Breakfast was enjoyable and the garden area perfect for relaxing.

I didn’t take the hotel’s recommendation to take the bus from the SBB station & thought as it wasn’t far I would walk. Would definitely recommend taking the bus, only 1 stop from the station!

The front desk staff is absolutely delightful! Everyone is so friendly and helpful. The hotel is very clean, showers are great, and bedding is comfy. We had a 12 day stay in Europe in 3 different hotels, and this was our favorite. Small, comfortable, friendly, affordable, and easy access to restaurants, etc. They offer breakfast and the evening of your arrival offer you a complimentary cocktail. Busses are right down the street and the area is very safe for walking.
