The room was located next to the reception. It was still quiet, although if people laughed loudly I could hear it in the room.

Very nice welcome and helpful staff. The small room was indeed small but perfect for a solo traveler, for a short stay - there was everything that's needed. Good sound proofing. The breakfast was great.

Great welcome from reception staff. Appreciated the first drink from the small bar was free. Liked the space where coffee and snacks could be enjoyed at any time of the day - again included within the price. The staff at reception and inn the breakfast area were kind and helpful. Really enjoyed breakfast - the soaked oats with fruit, the fresh wholemeal bread, the range of local cheeses and the cold vegetable buffet. Also appreciated the coffee machine in our charming standard room with free coffees and milks. Location excellent for central Basel and transport links, especially to the airport.

To go to the old town, you may have to take 50 stairs, which may be difficult for people with disability. Although alternative routes available.

We loved everything about this hotel. It's very central, easy to walk around the historic centre from there. The atmosphere in the hotel is very relaxing. The room is very comfortable and we appreciated the double glazing very much: the whole hotel was extremely quiet during our stay. Breakfast in the beautiful bright room next to the garden is delicious and the staff in the entire premises was super friendly and helpful with us. To be honest, it exceeded our expectations.

From the exceptionally friendly check in experience to the clean and comfortable room, this hotel made us feel so very welcome. Excellent location, just a short stroll to the old town and only 1 stop on the frequently running number 30 bus to the train station. Excellent value for money for a stay that exceeded our expectations.

Very clean and comfortable. Great pillows!The staff are very friendly and welcoming. We enjoyed a free welcome drink on arrival. The location is great being close to the old Town and a bus stop is opposite the hotel which is very handy.

If there was anything .. and this is very minor. The shower kept dripping, quite loudly as though it had been turned on... throughout the night- woke me up often. But really not a big deal. Finally, not necessarily something I didnt like but would have loved a shower cap :) Unless I was mistaken.. the "hot" breakfast was only an omlet (which was amazing!) and toast. Everything else was cold buffet.
