Except the fact that because of personal reason, couldn't stay longer, there wasn't anything to not like.

The breakfast was very pleasing, I could choose different kind of foods and take as much as I wanted. Never leaving aside the high level of restaurant's hygiene which is very important and I appreciated a lot.

Everything! My perfect kind of place to stay - peaceful, clean, unfussy, relaxing. Everything was comfortable, my room had a little balcony with a lovely view, small en suite with sink and toilet, excellent shower just along the corridor (I know plenty of people who would miss this great place to stay for lack of an en suite shower - they must be crazy!) Communication was helpful - my train time meant that I was late for check-in but when I emailed to ask if it would be a problem I received full instructions of how to obtain my key, where my room was situated, where the kitchen was, etc. The setting on the edge of the town meant that it was peaceful but only a short walk to facilities, restaurants etc. It was also possible to walk away from the town for 10 minutes and discover a footpath along the river which took me to the Saltinaschlucht and then onwards to Brig-ried and other villages up the hillside. Not a posh (nor expensive!) hotel, but the very best of a homely atmosphere with helpful staff. Not the right choice for someone who wants everything done for them and needs staff on duty all day and night - this is somewhere for a self-reliant traveller who wants more comfort than the average hostel. And breakfast was delicious! My only regret is that I wasn't able to stay longer - I will be back!

A note for those with heavy luggage: the 10-minute walk from train station through the old town is up-hill and on cobblestone streets.

Our room is spacious and the view of castle and mountains is majestic. Well-designed and managed garden offers calm space for guests to stroll around. Breakfast is fresh and good. Room is very clean and beddings are comfortable.

You should be prepared to walk up a rather steep hill in order to come to the hotel. For the rest, a nice place to stay.

Very nice place to stay in Brig. We had family room with 4 beds - in fact it were two rooms - both large and comfortable with one common bathroom. Everything was clean and well maintained. We enjoyed wery much the garden situated just next to the castle - it is really very peaceful and calm place with specific atmosphere.

I wish there had been a bit more variety of fruit and/or vegetables proposed at breakfast.

It's a nice and quiet place, perfectly clean. My single room had a plenty of storage space and a convenient bathroom, recently renovated. In the middle of July, the room temperature was quite comfortable, even though there was no air conditioner. A spacious terrace offers an impressive view on the castle and the garden.

We have stayed here four times already. We love the simplicity of the rooms, and a shared WC and shower is no problem at all. The garden is lovely, and the location is the best.
