The room had the bare essentials for a 4-star hotel. bathroom toiletries were minimal. breakfast was disappointing with little variety and choice.

There were no toiletries in the bathroom except soap and there wasn’t an overhead shower.

It was just slightly out or Montreux centre so was very peaceful and a beautiful 20 minute walk along the lake into the centre. The balcony view overlooking the lake was just beautiful and all the staff were so very friendly and helpful.

I know it's a beautiful old building. Like over a hundred years old. I think maybe they should do a deep clean once in a while - we noticed thick layers of dust/dirt in out-of-the-way places like on top of the A/C unit, and behind the ventilation grate in the WC. If I owned the place this would be a yearly maintenance with a heavy duty Shop-Vac. Only other complaint was being charged for coffee in the morning. I spent like 900 EURO for two nights, and they did charge a few euro for coffee in the morning. It's a small thing, but even Motel 6 has free coffee.

This was my second time staying in this hotel. The room was enormous, and priced accordingly. We enjoyed croissants and coffee on the little balcony overlooking the lake. Spectacular and romantic, yes. Loved the big bathroom, dual sinks, separate toilet room. Short and pleasant walk to the music festival.

Fantastic location, away from the main tourist area with direct lake front access and views. A belle epoque hotel which is tired around the edges but in a way that retains character and charm. The lake side views are worth staying for on their own.

Could have better soap/shampoo in the shower. Room service was slow.

wow wow wow. The view from the room was breathtaking. Definitely upgrade to a room with the view if you can. We were able to even check-in early. The staff here was kind. Breakfast was great! Room was comfy. Location was great and right next to a bus to take into town or to the train station. 5 min. bus or 15 min walk to the center of town/train.

The hotel and room facilities are dated. The balcony furniture also needs replacing.

Our room was quiet with a fantastic view of the lake from the balcony. It was an easy walk down to the lake promenade and then into town. Breakfast was very good. There are regular local buses to the town centre, around every 10 minutes, not far from the hotel.

booked the junior suite. there was a bad smell in the room, probably from the Aircon. staff were helpless and only got extra room fresheners after us insisting on it. on the second night, the Aircon wasn’t working properly and again, the reception staff couldn’t fix it and there was no housekeeping staff around to attend to it. rooms didn’t have a kettle and no cream/ milk for tea/ coffee even though coffee powder and tea bags were available. soap in bathrooms was half full indicating that prior guests had used it. not a nice feeling when you check into a room. housekeeping staff should’ve filled it up. nearest bus stand is a five minute walk away.

quiet location, clean and spacious rooms. a little cute off from the restaurants on the lake. because of the issues we faced, we got a small discount and didn’t have to pay the city taxes on our rooms. would’ve happily paid the taxes if they’d solved the issues.

Decor was a little dated but functional. Quite a walk to the train station and main town areas.
