Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.

When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.

IsraelWhoever gave us service was not helpful at all. Didn't answer our questions/calls, only answered us after we called 3 times. Large apartment with locked rooms. One room has a double bed and a bunk bed for 4 adults. We were 4 adults and we received 4 face towels (very small). When we called about the towels, we were told "that they must put 4 towels, no matter what size. And he wished me that these would be the biggest problems in my life." A very condescending feeling - that's not how you give service!
The location is good. The apartment was clean But the service was lacking

Free Wifi is accessible. Great value for money. Spacious living room with a really well-equipped kitchen and dining section. Great view , comfortable furniture on the terrace.

United KingdomWe were very disappointed with the quality of the property / furnishings and the lack of facilities. In a number of rooms there was no central light - just wires coming out of the ceiling. In one of the the bedrooms the bedside light was useless as there were no sockets close enough to be able to plug it in. Although the property had a dishwasher and a washing machine, no dishwasher tablets or laundry liquid was provided, nor was there any kitchen roll or shower gel - our experience is that such consumables are nowadays typically provided by the host to make short stays more convenient. Throughout the property there were no coat hooks, no drawers and no wardrobe. In the kitchen there were no mugs, just very small cups. We found out of date food in the fridge and some dirty bowls in the cupboard - no doubt from previous occupants. All windows only had external blinds. The bedrooms would have significantly benefitted from blackout curtains / internal blackout blinds as the external blinds let in daylight. The pillows on all the beds were very lumpy. The duvet on the king bed was too small. Fortunately we were not using all the beds and so were able to take a 2nd duvet from elsewhere. There were no instructions on how to use the oven. The house was adjacent to the main road through the village and so there was inevitably early morning traffic noise. In making these observations we acknowledge that we did not raise any of these issues with the host - some could obviously not have been corrected and none individually warranted immediate attention. We concluded that for a 3 night stay we were able to tolerate the shortcomings without intervention but believe it is important that we share our experience for the benefit of other prospective travellers when making their decision on whether this property is right for them.
The house was modern, spacious, clean (except for a couple of dirty dishes in the cupboard - see below) and with great views from all main rooms and the sunny terrace. It was easy to find and the parking adjacent to the property was very convenient. Wifi was good (even though property description said no wifi available).
