The hairdryer is the type that is attached to the wall and very old. It lacks power and it's not suitable for curly hair. I would advise to change it, it doesn't fit with how nice the bathroom really is.

We stayed in room 7 which is at the very top making it very silent and nice with the roof windows. The receptionist was very nice and explained everything in detail, we were even allowed to bring the car to the hotel door on checkout day to make it easier to load our luggage. The bathroom was big and very modern.

Everything was excellent! A group of 8 of us stayed between two of their quadruple rooms and it was perfect! The restaurant next door was so good too! Highly recommend for families wanting to get the full Gruyeres experience!

We were very pleased with this hotel.

There are places where you just want a room, then there are places where you want a room with a view. Gruyere Rooms is a place where you want to spurge and get the best view you can as the surrounding area is right out of a movie. We had booked the room with the skylight which was nice but when we checked in and saw how beautiful the area was we immediately upgraded to the mountain view suit. It was well worth it! The room is huge by any standards with windows overlooking Gruyere’s main attractions: the mountains and the beautiful church. The room was equipted with everything you need including a hot pot for coffee in the morning. The staff were very friendly, helpful and spoke English very well. It is a family run buisness. The hotel also has a nice shop that sells souvenirs and some groceries and gives guests a 10% discount. We tried the cheese of course and the Grand Gruyere liqueur, a nice touch to our Mountain View. Gruyere is not big and you can walk to any attraction including the main train station although it is a hill climb. Gruyere was a highlight of our trip through Switzerland and Gruyere Rooms was a big part of that. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay.

It's uphill from the train station, if you have a lot of bags you're going to want to take the bus. The pillows were a little small. Although you absolutely could not tell in your room, they make cheese or fondue on the bottom floor and when exiting your room you do smell it. It was not a problem for us, but be aware. We stayed on the third floor and there were 2 floors and at least 3 doors between us and that area.

Great location in the center of the town, room was clean. Staff was very friendly and helpful. Bathroom was modern and clean.

The courtesy of the personnel was making me feel home, the room was cozy and clean and had very nice view. Also super cool the small garden outside. Price and location added the cherry on top. I recommend also the Restaurant on the side which has discount and can save few more for food.

The location was perfect!! It’s a beautiful area and everything you want to see is right there. The parking areas were close to the village. The H.R Geiger bar and museum are a must see. The Tibetan museum was awesome too.

Waste basket in bathroom not emptied from previous guest when we arrived but the nice lady in reception took care of this the next day.

The studio was spacious with a wonderful view of the mountains and a small balcony. Check-in was efficient even though reception was closed when we arrived. Dated decor as seen in the pictures so no suprises there.

It would have been better to have a window so we could see the street outside. There were skylights windows but they are not quite the same. It is understandable though as it is the type of room we chose. Also, there isn't any food/room service during our stay as it was New Year Eve's and the connecting restaurant was fully booked.

The room was very adequate for what we paid for. We had big beds and bathroom. We had spacious space to sit and chat. The room was also quiet and peaceful. It was very comfy.

I liked that there was an elevator for my family member with limited mobility who has difficulty climbing stairs. I liked that you could watch them make the world famous gruyere cheese. I liked that the bathroom and tub were huge!
