Location was perfect for visiting Gruyeres and other neighbouring areas. Staff were very welcoming and friendly. Also appreciated receiving the 10% discount for meals at two restaurants.

Thr staff could not handle higher volume at breakfast and people after us were left with very little food options. We requestes the bar fridge to be swapped (was not cooling) and the toilet seat to be fixed; that was ignored and nothing was done. Our room was also not serviced and we ran out of shower gel, so poor service from housekeeping. Exceptionally low doorways and light fixtures. Anyone above 1.6m will have problems bumping into fixtures hanging from the ceiling.

Would have liked more than 1h in the sauna, but appeared that 1h was the maximum allotted time. Maybe this was due to the time that I arrived at, so is reasonable if this is the case. The sauna could have done with some pre-heating/water putting on the coals, but it worked out mostly fine anyway.

The location was pretty good - a few hills to climb by foot but nothing too bad. Beware the mapping directions, they easy to mislead you from the train station. The facilities were good, the steam room was off for the month so used the sauna instead. Was able to roast in the sauna then go directly outside the door to relax. The breakfast was pretty good. Maybe a little expensive at 20CHF, but had croissants and nice honey.

Do double-check directly with the hotel if you wish to have separate beds, since they say that booking does not transmit this information. Also, do not forget to put something into the door to leave it open when you go out onto the terrasse of the spa area in order not to be locked out. The hotel is older and smaller than the photos portray. The breakfast is overpriced.

The beds were comfortable, the breakfast and spa were nice and the staff was friendly. The hotel is close to (but not in) the Gruyère village.

Given that our room was right in front of the entrance, so a bit of an unfortunate spot, the walls are pretty thin and you hear almost everything and everyone who walks by (hardwood flooring), but that also sort of makes the charm of these wooden houses in Switzerland, anyway if you're a light sleeper you won't get a lot of sleep.

The receptionist who welcomed us and worked the following evening was one of the nicest I've ever met! He explained everything clearly and showed us where we could get discounts in restaurants etc, and one evening my friend and I were a bit cold and asked if there was any way to get a warm cup of tea, and he lent us a kettle, cups, sugar and tea bags! We could enjoy our hot cup of tea on the balcony while admiring the beautiful view on the mountains.

Exceptional views from the breakfast terrace, and a very nice breakfast. The location could not be better to enjoy Gruyeres after the crowds have left and enjoy the evening lights. Great service, will definitely recommend to anyone wanting to stay in Gruyeres.

The breakfast is way to expensive. For CHF 20.00 you get bread and cereals but they don't offer you anything warm (eggs and the usual stuff). The hotel only has 15 parking spots (for around 40 rooms). Some of these spots were always occupied by local people and you are actually lucky to get one of these. The other option would be a public parking which you have to pay for and some of them are a bit further down.

We stayed for a week and enjoyed it very much. The hotel is perfectly located and the staff is very friendly, helpful and nice. The view and the surrounding is wonderful as it is placed right outside of Gruyeres oldtown. The Sauna / Spa area is small but beautiful and we appreciated that we could book it for only the two of us during the pandemic.

Nice quiet hotel in the old Swiss style. It is located right next to the entrance into the medieval part of the village. Our rooms had a mountain view, which was beautiful! The breakfast was varied and tasty.

The room’s window was right next to entrance, where all the hotel visitor were smoking. So all the smoke went into the room with the window open. With closed windows it was too hot inside

very old furniture, some things fit to the style of the hotel (bed), others could be replaced (broken or nearly broken), old bathroom is clean - but old (some new faucets would be nice or so). only one key for 3 people. and no lights in the room except 2 bedside lamps - why no ceiling light? it‘s so dark in the evenings..

Very nice personnel, own parking spots, comfy bed & clean shower. charming hotel and good breakfast. option for wellness rooms. staff makes a reservation for you in a co-working restaurant, you don‘t even need to think about that :)

The check-in times for this hotel are unfortunately quite late in the afternoon, which can be a significant inconvenience if you are only staying for one night. Furthermore, parking can be a challenge as there is limited space available at the hotel. However, for a small additional fee of CHF 10, guests can opt to park in the lower parking areas, although it may be difficult to navigate with a lot of luggage. It's essential to note that the rooms are quite small, so it's best to view this hotel as a sleep-only option. Finally, it's worth mentioning that our room had some cleanliness issues, such as noticeable marks on the drinking glasses.

I must say, the hotel's location was superb. The staff went above and beyond in being friendly and helpful, which made my stay all the more enjoyable. Furthermore, the breakfast served was absolutely fantastic! It is perfect for one evening you just want to rest your head at night.

The tea, if you're from the UK, you need tea, not Camomile, Earl Grey etc but English tea.

Spacious room with a comfy double, upgraded for a balcony view. Everything was clean, the staff were super helpful. 2 minutes from the main town. If I visited again, I would 100% stay here.
