Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

United StatesDid not find decaf coffee options. Pillows were either too soft or too hard.
The view was spectacular, and we had a nice large balcony to enjoy it from. Love that you could open the windows/doors for ventilation. Beds were comfy. TV was nice. Meals were excellent and the staff was friendly. Location near train station was great. They also offered to assist with transportation back to the station which was MUCH appreciated as my knee was giving me problems. Loved the shoehorn and the full length mirror in the room. Thanks for the face cloths.

United StatesMy burger at dinner was not very good. It was like a frozen patty from the freezer and overcooked.
Breakfast was simple but acceptable. View was best view I’ve ever had in a hotel. We did have a superior room.

United StatesThere is a "common use"refrigerator down the hall which is shared by 4-5 room guests. it's useable and not crowded, but it would have been nicer and a bit more convenient if a small refrigerator were located in each room.
This is modern, newly built hotel that exemplifies Swiss cleanliness, excellent design and simplicity without sacrificing any comfort. It is a family run establishment which is a big plus. You will most likely be greeted by one of the two owners: Daniel or Sandra. You will also meet then at your morning breakfast (which is a typical excellent Swiss breakfast with a variety of top quality meats, cheeses, eggs and breads). Daniel and Sandra and a hard working, outgoing and friendly couple. Their hard work is clearly reflected in the high quality of their hotel. The rooms and bathrooms are, new, spotless and spacious. Their design is implemented in a way that allows two people to settle in and enjoy the room for a long stay (we were there for four nights). There is a self service washer and dryer (for a reasonable fee) located on the premises. The hotel is in Murren - which is where you should be staying if you are visiting the Jungfrau or the Shilthorn and want to be close to these sites and not have to put up with all of the bus tour crowds that have inundated places like Wengen, Interlaken and Lauterbrunnen. Murren sits at an altitude of approximately 5,500 feet. Our "Premium Double Room Panorama" had a STUNNING and UNFORGETTABLE view of the mountains in front of the Jungfrau, Monch and Eiger peaks which overlook the Lauterbrunnen Valley. Do not be surprised when you see people Hang Gliding past your balcony on their way to a landing in the Lauterbrunnen Valley Don't believe me? Look at the property photo I posted which was taken from our balcony.

United StatesThere was nothing we didn't like! It would have been convenient to have a small refrigerator in our room, that was the only amenity missing.
We stayed in a superior room with a view, and it was amazing! Our balcony had a view of the Eiger and Mönch as well as the rest of the Lauterbrünnen valley with its waterfalls. You could see this same astonishing view from our bathtub--it was wonderful to spend the day hiking and then come home for a bath with a view before dinner. The furnishings were very comfortable, especially the beds. We were able to bring our dog, which was convenient. We ate breakfast and most dinners at the hotel--the dining room and terrace have the same jaw-dropping views, and the food was very good with typical Swiss prices (expensive). The breakfast featured a wide array of choices, including yogurt, fruit, cereal, breads, meats and cheeses, smoked salmon, boiled eggs, and the full range of drinks. The best dinner options we tried were the rosti, cheese fondue, goulash soup, and mixed salad.

United StatesThe superior room overlooking the cliff/valley is a phenomenal view (balcony is really narrow but you can sit there, and the entire wall is a window which is a great view to wake up to). The rooms are very new, clean, modern. Perfect location between the train and town. Staff was super friendly, breakfast on the deck with that view was amazing. One of the best stays on the trip.

United StatesOnly negative I could say was that we had to have patio door open for coolness as no air conditioning which would have been fine but the room below us had people smoking on their balcony all the time. That was not pleasant. Also, although the bathroom frosted glass was beautiful in the room, if someone gets up at night to use the bathroom, the nightlight comes on and lights up the bedroom and wakes the other person up that is sleeping. Also, it would be nice if there was a lamp on the desk and floor lamp by the chair.
Close to train station, very friendly staff. Immaculate. We stayed in the new section room 401. Very nice room with such a view!!! Comfortable bed, lovely shower, small balcony. Very nice breakfast. We ate dinner there one night and it was good, They have indoor and outdoor seating with great views. Have laundry facilities on site.

GermanyAlmost nothing... Everything were just perfect!
A HUGE pleasant surprise of this wonderful hotel that is run by a family. It looks like an orginarry hotel from the street, but once you step inside the room & restaurant, this holel will "Shock" you! I believe this hotel provides the "BEST" view in the Murren area. Room is modern and well design with huge windows. (We were fortunate to have the corner room.) Breakfast is just "Wonderful". Forget about early hikes! You will love to enjoy the breakfast for hours! Lunch & Dinner quality varies by menu. Some menus are so so qulity, but Highly recommend to try out Filet Steak (400g) and Cheeze Fondue. The restaurant is for "Hotel Guest Only". You will enjoy the private environment. Owner & staff members are extremely friendly and fun to be with. HIGHLY recommend to stay here!
