How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.

The room could be cleaned better for the price that I paid.
Location: It was 5 minutes away from Zurich airport and is really handy for early flights. This was the main reason I stayed at this hotel. The hotel room: The rooms were small but enough for an overnight stay. The room was laid out weirdly - there was no proper bathroom - a door to go into the shower and a door for the toilet. But the sink was in the hotel room itself. Service: The desk agents were friendly.

the little things as mentioned above that were not working.
very very good location .. two TRAM stops to Zurich Airport. Tram stop is lcoated 70 m from hotel ibis front driveway. Hotel reception desk has clear instruction as to how long and how much to take the trams to or from the airport. This is the same tram to take to Zurich Main Train station. Room is a little tight for two persons BUT its Ok for one or two night stay. Whilst there, we stayed on 3 separate occassions and the room we occupied were 110, 115 and 119 .. all these rooms DO need maintenance .. Room 110 - one of the beds sag Room 115 - bathroom door leaks at the bottom so when one showers, the water spills into bedroom Room 119 - same bathroom issues as 115. The wall panel white light did not work. This hotel has very high occupancy and that's why the wear & tear. Rooms are clean. Bed sheet and towels provided are also clean. Hotel has vending machine for hot drinks, snacks, food and soft drinks. Greatly appreciate the laundry room which is equipped with ironing board and with a kettle in case one is in need of hot drinks or for instant noodles. For a meal, go next door La Piazza that serves wholesome Italian food ... we love the AGlio Olio and its pizza with Rocket salad. We greatly appreciate the secured space to store our large luggages as we extended our stay in Switzerland to cover Milan, Lake Como and other parts of Switzerland. Which is why Ibis was our base for one night stay on 3 different dates.

This is a very basic hotel in an industrial area. There is an expensive pizza restaurant next door but nothing else.

They said breakfast incl and on the side it says Pay at the property. A lot of people were unhappy about this. Thinking we book a room incl. breakfast. Also, we need to pay for parking when this should be free knowing people are renting a room in there. This was also not mentioned in the booking app info.

They have a water bowl for the cat but refuse to fill it which bothered my daughter.
The night lady was awesome! The rooms are small but cheap.

We like our staying so no comment.
The place is budget friendly. I choose this hotel because it was way cheaper than staying in the downtown and also this is near the airport. I remember it was 7 mins away by train. One of the bonus part is the Laundry, we were able to do our laundry so when we got home from vacation, we don't have to worry about dirty clothes in the luggage.

Unlucky to land up on Sunday because there are no restaurants opened nearby for a dinner plan. However it was a good idea to take the tram back to airport for a quick meal.
The room was quite spacious and comfortable as a solo traveler and the hotel location was very convenient from the airport with a quick ride via tram..

We checked in one hour early requested handicapped access as close to the elevator as possible. They charged us an additional $75 for early check-in so we wouldn’t have to sit in their lobby then put us in a room, the furthest away possible from the elevator in a non-handicap room.

There is actually no real lobby in the hotel. The actual lobby is very small. There is a nice sitting place inside and outside but it is open only for the meals.
The Hotel is very nice. Staff is excelent. They really do everything to keep yu happy. Rooms are clean and neat and the lighting is very special

There is only one soap bottle for everything. Booked for 3 people, but only 3 glasses.
