Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.

When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.

When we asked, the staff member didn't know, so we were directed to go and ask at the partner hotel down the street, who then told us breakfast wasn't included but invited us to pay 25CHD pp for breakfast (we declined!)
It seemed like we had an unexpected upgrade- the room surpassed our expectations, looked great and was very good value for the location (5 mins walk from the central train station). Despite the location, we had a peaceful night and the road was not busy.The automated check in worked well.

The rooms are properly sized and well equipped, the bed was super comfy and it was impressive how, even next to the station, we couldn't hear any sound. It is just metres from the Mainstation and I did Not need public transport once. It is located in a cute city and you find botiques, food and culture nearby. I was allowed to my suitcase in the luggage room during the day of checking out. This was nice service.

MalaysiaThe bathroom is designed in such a way that if you took a shower, the water spills to the floor outside. Second, all the Nespresso and tea with no water in the machine, so we were not able to enjoy it. The hotel could have easily charged us a few dollars more for the room and provided the water in the machine, which would have made a big difference in the total experience.
The Midi room was super clean and the bed was so comfortable. Molton Brown range was amazing. Great location.

United KingdomThe only issue I had was instead of a fridge my room had a wine coolet and not a fridge, this made it difficult to stack food and small items like fruit, and other snacks needing to be keep cool
I often stay at this hotel in a superior suite, often being twice a year for about 4-5 nights. The location is excellent for most things, has a supermarket accross the road selling everything you could want, train station 5-10 minutes walk away and it has 24 hour automated access so arriving late into the evening is no problem. The hotel guest's are respectful of others (no noise) and it is quiet considering being a city centre location
