The price per night was quite high compared to eg Spain/France but it’s comparable with Swiss prices so not a complaint. Worth it as the hotel and staff were really lovely.

Loved this hotel. Our room was amazing (21) and the hotel location was great. Staff so helpful-we had booked a car parking space and they drove with us to the car park to make sure we got in ok. Highly recommend this hotel.

For anyone with problems with their walking there were a few steps & levels to negotiate.

The hotel is in an ideal position for exploring Basel. The excellent tram service stops right outside the door. The staff were very friendly & helpful. The breakfast was excellent with a good choice. We ate in their restaurant next door which was also very good.

Shower and toilet set up was fine but shower curtain could have been prevented from flowing with draft due to convection with hot and cold water but a minor issue.

Location, location, location for a decent hotel that was not expensive and right beside the old town. Excellent choice for anyone wanting to see Basel for the first time and have a great impression. Everything withing walking distance including the SBB Hb train station.

The shower head didn't stay fixed in position and slid down and into the corner so had to be held which was a slight bother. Also, the Nespresso machine on button was impossible to find so some instructions would have helped. Decaf pods or English breakfast tea bags would have been great but not a big deal just a preference. The biscuits and chocolates were presented as being gratuitous but were on the bar menu so luckily we checked.

We got 2 single beds although that was not what I booked. Pretty expensive for what you get.

The place is simple and clean. I appreciate 2 kinds of sockets in our room so you don’t need an adapter. There are some nice details (we stayed in the new/renovated part). The location is great, it was also quiet. The hotel is good for a one night stay.

Great location in the center of Basel, excellent and serviceminded staff, large, very nice and minimalist designed room. Beautiful garden and outdoor furniture. Walking distance to all sights, restaurants, cafes and bars. Public parking nearby. Excellent WIFi.

Like most higher end hotels in Basel, the room was decorated in a highly minimalist style, spartan and a bit lacking in warmth, though executed in materials of excellent quality and appearance. A carpet would have done a lot to warm up the feel of the room. Bedding was the inevitable down comforter which all higher end properties seem to have defaulted to, and as usual, much too warm, unless the thermostat is dialed way down.

Nice large room in brand new building, facing away from street, very quiet. Very comfortable bed. Nice system of shades, one for privacy and the other to eliminate light, which worked well. A high end Nespresso machine and pods was also provided.
