How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
Guidelines and standards for Reviews
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.

Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.

very central place. hence very easy to reach and to get everywhere you want/need too. But of cause therefore also a bit more noise when you have a room out to Cornavin. But the windows shut closely and the crazy motorcycles you can have everywhere ;-)

The bed was on the soft side.
The relaxed friendly atmosphere. The hotel was unusual but we found it homely. Staff were very obliging and interested in us and what we wanted to do. They were very informative about activities we wanted to do and see.

The location is unbeatable: opposite the railway station, second to next door to Les Brasseurs. Comfy bed, good breakfast.

It wasn't very private, everyone can see you come and go due to the configuration of the rooms. But if that's not a problem for you then it's a secure spot
It was clean and close to the main train station and airport. The rooms were reasonably sized, it wasn't a dedicated hotel, it shared a building with other businesses.

I would have loved a coffee machine or kettle in the room.
Great location, near the Station, but not nosy from transport. I had booked single room with external bathroom. The room was more like a double room, Comfy bed and good bedlinen. the bathroom across the corridor, ( I had a key for this) large, with towels, shower gel, liquid soap. Very clean.

A little noisy because of the location but that's to be expected.
Ideally located for our needs. Small but adequate bedroom. We didn't take the breakfast but from what I could see when I was checking out, it looked like an average buffet breakfast. Appreciated the 30% carpark discount at the railway station opposite the property.

A little bit outdated interior, dark room. Otherwise great value for Geneva and this price.
Extremely friendly staff, great support and help for all questions. The best location possible for the train, right in the center of Geneva and all trams and busses right in front 9f the hotel. Many restaurants and shopping possibilities just two minutes away.

Located just across the train station this hotel was a great place for us. With many restaurants and local attractions nearby, we were spoiled for choice. Staff were very friendly and the gentleman that checked us in was very friendly! The room was spacious and very comfortable for my son and I. Enjoyable stay.

The bathroom is private but is outside of the room.
The staff is very friendly and always try to help the guests. They offer all day long free coffee, tea or hot chocolate, as well as fruits.

Room was on the small side but adequate for us.
Great Hotel with amazing staff. Zane was very friendly and helpful. We had dinner in the hotel most nights. Just bought dinner from Co-op and the hotel heated our food up and we were allowed to use the dining area. Saved a fortune in restuarant bills. Breakfast was good and the location excellent especially if you are using trains.

Could only book a twin room via booking, and we didn't realise they had double rooms, so hubby and I slept in our separate beds....not sure if that was a bad thing tbh.
Brilliant location, central to everything and great transport links. Hotel staff very friendly, room good and breakfast simple but efficient.
