Unfortunately some other guests arrived at 2 am without a phone and they were really aggressively banging the door for 45 (!) minutes plus throwing things at the windows and shouting and screaming in Italian on the street around the building. The banging on the steel door was extremely loud and terrifying. I didn't know who they were nor did I understand them so I didn't want to let them inside and I wasn't sure if they are sober etc. I honestly was scared and was thinking about calling the police. At the end someone let them in and they called the phone number so it was settled. This couple then shot themselves out another time but then only from their room so then I borrowed them my phone to call and be let into their room again. Otherwise I love this place but I didn't sleep that night and I think I can speak for the other guests as everyone agreed when we discussed the next day.

I really like this place and I already booked some future dates. Location is great, good price and I love the kitchen area.

The noise of the machine/ pump that runs 24 hours 7 days a week next to the lodge. And the yard is the central rubbish damping area of the little village not that it stunk..it was just disturbing to see.

The place is clean and comfortable and well set. Nice views, great hikes and parking, right outside.

Getting into the property for check in was a mission. We had no data or ability to phone the owner & had to beg help from the local restaurant staff, which was embarrassing. We were under the impression before arriving that we could message them using the property wifi & then get let in …. BUT they then insisted on a phone call . We could not see why messaging each other could not be enough … & eventually it was. But it was a little stressful for a while. And we were not the only people to have similar issues just during our 2 night stay. It would be wonderful if the owners would be prepared for changes in the strategy & not be quite so rigid in their thinking.

It was quite hot inside. We had to sleep with the window open both days, and we could not regulate the temperature

Very nice place! Rooms are nicely decorated, bed and pillows are very comfy, kitchen fully equipped to cook and super clean. Some sofas if you feel like staying in the common area. The arrival was easy, we only had to call them to get access to the property within 2 min. Free parking next to the hotel. Highly recommended if you are looking for a cozy place to stay while hiking/skiing

It would be nice to have breakfast included also in the stay. The number of toilets for the number of rooms is very less.

The room was comfortable, with a great view of the river. There is a balcony in the comman area which has a great view outside. Check in assistance was very nice and friendly. Everything was clean and tidy.

We did not realize there were baskets with room numbers to put our things inside the refrigerator. They were on top of the refrigerator but without signage so we didn’t notice. We bought some coffees and labeled them, but someone stole one. This is not the hotel’s fault, but make sure you use the buckets with the room numbers. Hopefully that’s enough for your food and drinks to not be stolen.

This place is super cool. There is a huge kitchen so you can cook your meals. The place is a 4 min walk from the train station and is right by the river. They have bags to recycle glass, metal, plastic, and paper!

We had an awesome week in Madulain. The lodge was very functional with a very nice decoration. We cooked every day, and it was very nice to have everything in the kitchen. The lodge is a front of the cross country skiing tracks. Madulain is quiet and a small nice village with the train station. A lot of positive things. For sure, I will recommend the lodge.
