Rooms are quite spartan and the beds are not the cleanest, which would be understandable if it was not 100m from a main road and if actual mountains huts in the area were not much better in this respect for similar price. The staff were somewhat disorganized. Breakfast was kind of first come eat everything affair. It was for the price also not really worth it (again compared to actual mountain huts high in the mountains).

We were able to reasonably check-in even though we were quite late on arrival and staff was very nice about it. The whole hut is clean (for a mountain hut).

People are messy amd when you have shared bathroom, you should clean it more often, especially in the evening and mornings.

Our room was in front of shared toilet and we are with infant. Due to noise throughout the night, our baby girl got disturbed.

The location was in quite place in nature and availability of the kitchen and guide is nice.

It's hard to find the way into the Hostel with a car, the access road is In bad shape. Also the cleanliness of the guest kitchen can be improved as well as the showers.

The staff is very friendly and the location offers a great connection with nature, it's a friendly place and you can prepare your own food!

It was difficult to stay when we travel with 8–9family members as it is similar to hostel. Shower room is not private.

All facilities such as car parking ,kitchen , shower room, towels were available.

The staff was friendly, the environment very informal, the location itself is quite good while traveling, only the short forest road was not that great, especially if you have a wider/bigger car (but still possible to drive through). The room was really small, but considering the price and that we booked our trip very late, and only for one night it was not a problem.

It was difficult to find the place. Don’t go with Google Navi. Follow Owner’s message of direction.

Good location for enjoying Lake Brienz. Owner is friendly and helpful, and we got the pretty calendar. They have lovely living & dining room.

There was no air conditioning, and no electricity outlets in the room. There is one bathroom for the whole building, and basically the facilities are not that good, no towels

The location is magical, the owners are very kind and I interesting people. The lobby is fun and a great place to meet fellow travellers. The view is amazing and it is close to lungern and brienz.

The Wi-Fi is very weak, can be only used on the first floor.

Your greatest weakness is your greatest strength pushed too far, and that’s definitely true for this place. It is quite busy with people, and most of the rooms are dormitories. There is not really much privacy and every single corner is used by someone. As fun and friendly as it is, in general, it is a sort of experience I would usually expect for about half the price it costs.

It is a very lovely and cozy place to be, quite personal and friendly and homely in a way other hotels are not. More like a giant sleepover than a hotel. The woman staffing it fit right in and was really kind and helpful and generous. A great place to hang out with other hikers. Also it is right up on the pass, by the trainline (train’s much quieter thsn you’d think) and I saw a group of chamois in a clearing just a little while before arriving!

The security for belongings in the rooms was a bit limited. The breakfast buffet could have been a bit more extensive for the price.

The staff friendliness was excellent. The guest relaxation room was a nice place.

Although their rooms is quite small but it's enough space for a comfortable sleep. They also have a snug living room and a nice courtyard where you can chat or chill out with friends. If you want to cook something by yourself, they also have a kitchen in the basement with all stuff that you need. In gerneral, it is a best choice in the price range.

Pricing of breakfast/dinner. Far away from grocery shops, but good for an adventure or little hike. Poor wifi, need more wifi around the place.

Lovely volunteers were welcoming and understanding . Staff were thoughtful and made sure your stay was good. Location was absolutely extraordinary! Loved it so much! Nothing everything was good

The beds were nice, there was a lot of facilities including a kitchen that we could use, there was a lovely living room filled with games the bathrooms were nice as well and food is nice.
