Nitpick: The pillows were too soft for my comfort.

Exquisitely decorated, luxurious facilities, with fabulous views of the Matterhorn. The staffs are courteous and the on-site restaurants have top-notch food. It’s a charming property perfectly suited for couples.

I liked everything about the hotel. The location is amazing - very close to the center but a little bit on the hill and very calm, with fantastic view at Matterhorn. It is an old historic hotel very beautifully renovated. The rooms are beautiful, the beds very comfortable. The staff is very professional. Everything is very well organised including the hotel car to the train station. The breakfast is really fantastic and I also once had a dinner in the hotel which was also great. All in all - absolutely perfect experience!

There is not proactive communication how to get in Zermatt. You cannot come with the car. So you have to park at another village. It would be great if the hotel send an mail before you arrive about how to get to Zermatt. The people at the Hotel kind of assume dat you know that.

Steam room for naked people which deprives a lot of guests from enjoying the facilities. My room has no bathtub which was not expected for such high class and old school hotel.

No bathtub at the room despite paying pretty high price. The naked only steam room is silly and discriminative against the majority of guests who do not want to see other naked guests.

Only issue was the gentleman who picked us up at the train and took us back. Not friendly picking us up and extremely rude when taking us back. We had to wait a moment to get something when we were checking out (mind you reception staff was wonderful). Our ride to the rail station was not there and we were getting worried. Called up to the reception and they must have called him. Other guests around and when he pulled up he literally yelled at us and reprimanded us in front of others that we were late and not there at the exact time. We were shocked and embarrassed. After such a lovely stay, that was not the ending we were hoping for or expecting.

The property is beautiful and overall, staff helpful. Loved our room and the view!

The beau site is a fantastic hotel with a fun, quirky sense of playful luxury! Gorgeous spa and the outdoor pool is crazy amazing. The Grill restaurant at the hotel cannot be missed! It was incredible. Fabulous service throughout! Best breakfast on our entire three week trip through Switzerland. Proximity to old town is excellent. Many good restaurants nearby.

Breakfast seems to have less choices than we think.

Clean and beautiful room. Our room has a fantastic view. Concierge is very nice and helpful. Staff at the front desk is also helpful. They assisted us to make an appointment with doctor when urgent. We are very appreciate with your services.

We waited half an hour at the station to be picked up and then had to phone the hotel to ask them to send someone. Nobody apologised for this until we explicitly asked if there had been a problem, at which point the person dealing with us said 'oh yes, sorry'...not really a fulsome apology. We thought this might not bode well for our stay but it was just a one off. Our departure was too early for their in-house transfer but they arranged a taxi at their expense.

The hotel has clearly spent a lot of money and thought in the general decor of the hotel which gives all the rooms a warm, rich, individualistic feel. There are great views of the Matterhorn from the front of the hotel including the balcony of our room. Breakfast is exceptional, provided in a bright, warm dining room with a fantastic selection of cheeses, meats, cereals fruit, breads etc. There are comfortable outside and indoor bars with an extensive range of drinks and reasonable range of bar food. the dining room grill is another very pleasant room and the food was good though quite expensive. There are spa facilities which we did not use and a pool. The room had complimentary teas, coffee and water and a little cake each day. It was possible to borrow a special Swiss adaptor from the hotel but we weren't told that there was a 20 franc deposit. We only discovered this when it was taken off our bill on departure. We had to leave very early on the morning of our departure and the hotel provided us with a great packed lunch. There is a free transfer to and from the station, though this didn't work so well for our pickup. Zermatt is a very walkable town and there seems to be lots to do for children as well as adults and loads of places to eat.
