How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
Guidelines and standards for Reviews
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.

The street that the hotel is located on faces the back of warehouse, this is not the most pleasant. However, the location is great, easy and quick access to public transportation.
Very modern sleek design. Room is well-equipped, Nespresso machine is a nice touch of luxury. Great views of the skyline and mountains. Very quiet. Comfortable bed.

is about 15-20 min from the city centre by train. Breakfast is… normal. Nothing special. No vegan options.

Clean and comfortable, it was within walking distance to shops but a bit away from the main attractions. It was a short drive away though.

Breakfast is a bit basic for such a place, but does the job.
Placid as always excellent place, the rooms are beautiful and on the top floor a great view of Zurich. Love to stay there, placed in an industrial area but that makes it very quiet at night and on weekends, which is a big plus. The windows are gigantic, giving plenty of natural light.

The location, the hotel is half an hour from HP station or the old town, the room wasn’t clean enough, there was dust on the shelf , and the bathroom has no door so it is cold while I am having a shower. That’s all.
Nice hotel, free water, coffee machine inside the room, any comfy bed 😊

We had adjoining rooms and coffee machine only in 1 room , hanging space only in 1 room . Would have been more convenient being in both .

What I found strange was that the hotel had no bar/restaurant open on a Saturday. I would understand if it was a Sunday but meant I had to leave the hotel to find food. This was fine as I wanted to explore Zürich and get the travelcard but I had hoped to lunch in the hotel after having an early morning start. Again, this is probably my own fault for not researching more prior to my arrival to the hotel, so I can't fault the hotel for this...I just found it strange.
I really like that the Hotel was clean and easy to get to. It was hard to travel there in the evenings as there was quite a lot of roadworks which didn't affect the noise but meant it was hard to wheel suitcases. The room was very comfy and the staff were super friendly. I also was able to check-in early at no additional cost. The free bikes also were a great bonus as I was able to explore the city a lot more quickly.

The location is next to a construction site and this made it a little difficult to sleep and it was a little restless to return back, other than that everything is fine
Nice hotel in a minimalist style, varied breakfast, the workers allowed me to check-out a bit late because of work, the staff is very friendly and ready to help.

Location - took about 30 mins to get to the center of the city via bus or tram. Was in a very industrial part of town/not super tourist-friendly.
The room was big and clean! The beds were comfy and my friend and I had plenty of space to spread out all of our stuff! It was a weird layout and the bathroom was odd, but overall the room was good!

The guy on the reception said first that late checkout is possible only until 6pm for 60 CHF and then 10 euros for every next hour. He was also saying that I have to pay right away. To which I have agreed but later during actual check-out there was another person who took only 30 CHF from me instead (since I have checked out earlier - at 3pm rather than 6pm). So I assume the actual rules are 10CHF / hour and he was just trying to slightly scam us :) This was not nice
Design, location, view from the window. Breakfast was also fine.

Hard to describe but the pillows were a bit rustly, so the sound would wake me up.
The view from the room was beautiful, massive shower and free toiletries/ slippers etc. Very clean room and friendly staff at reception. Coffee machine in room. Also a big bed.
