this time there were two maintenance issues (elevator did not work for an hour or so; internet did not work properly for one night). also, there is a regular challenge with getting the free Geneva transportation card; the staff now is aware but do not proactively address it until you go to the reception and ask for a print out (it does not help that they say that the glitch is not with them, it's only for booking.com clients etc).

I've repeatedly stay in the same place because of the good value for money, possibility to have your own coffee (if you buy or bring your ground coffee from home), microwave and a good size of the room with a desk/bed, separate kitchenette and bathroom. It is better than Ibis budget and has amazing locality next to train station, lake and restaurants (and I do not mind a vibrant mini red district next door)

Quite a basic room and sometimes found a little bit noisy at night with people on street outside.

Great location near Cornavin and relatively good value for money. While quite basic room, had a small refrigerator and microwave. Good WiFi and TV. Check-in is within Novotel next door - so also available and responsive staff if any issues.

I expected full breakfast but got express breakfast. I could get the breakfast buffet by paying more. Probably misunderstanding at booking. The buffet was excellent by the way :)

I am a repeated guest. The location and the value for money are great for Geneva in case you want to stay in a centrally located Paquis.

It gets a bit noisy in the evening. The bathroom door needs some fixing, it literally screams when you open it. There could be a little stove in the kitchen.

The location. 5min walk to the bus station as well as the main train station. Lots of shops around.

My apartment facing the street was incredibly noisy. My heating was not working and when I contacted reception I was sent a broken heater (that worked) and a blanket. I also noticed that the apartment next door had the same problem and were given the same type of heater and blanket.

The apartments offered a kitchenette and were spacious.

Our room stank of cigarettes to the point I was nearly sick, our clothes smelled strongly of cigarette smoke when we got home, I did not complain as we were only there a short time and I presumed all the rooms smelt like this as Switzerland is a country of smokers! The area was convenient for walking everywhere but a bit scary at night…

TV wasn't smart (no Netflix or anything) and the room had an unpleasant smell.

Good location near Cornavin for easy transport to the airport, also near the bus station for travelling to Chamonix and Annecy. Well equipped room with a comfy bed. Good value for Geneva. Nice city view.

Wifi connection was absolutely non-functional. The connection and speed of Internet was almost non-existent. The staff failed to resolve the issue for three days trying to convince me that "nobody else complained". Well, then I'll be the first one to raise the problem. It disrupted my workflow. It is not the way to resolve issues!

Nothing, everything was great.

The room is quite spacious and very clean. The location is perfect according to me. There is a parking available that you pay 35 CHF per night, which I think is very reasonable for Geneva. Also, big thanks to Adèle from the reception who was very helpful and kind to us!

When booking, I did not notice that this hotel was in the heart of the red-light district. And I mean, IN the heart. The view from my window (I was on the second floor) was of the prostitutes 10 feet away, one on each street corner, plus their shady bodyguards a couple of extra feet further away, but always visible. That was pretty shocking at first, as it gave the feeling of being a dangerous place. You had to walk right past them to get into the hotel. They wouldn't even try to talk to you if you avoided eye contact. This added to the confusing check-in system (not at the actual address given by booking.com, but around the corner at the Novotel hotel front desk), and it had me walking confused and slightly afraid the first day, luggage in hand, hesitating to ask for directions. In Geneva prostitution is legal and controlled, so there's some normality and a sort of streets-safety-is-good-for-business agreement to all this, but if coming from other places, you may be truly scared at first. By my second or third day there, I got used to it. There is also music and high-volume conversations on the nearby streets until late at night, so don't expect total silence. Windows do a decent job muffling the noise, though. In short, it's fine, especially if you are a man coming for a few days. But I would not send my wife or daughter by themselves to this hotel. Or return with my kids, as it is not the sight I would want them to see. Something else to improve is overall coziness. The room is completely functional and white.TV, desk, bed, kitchenette, bathroom. No decoration whatsoever. A couple of framed pictures or plastic flowers would help. And extra pillows. Just 2 flat ones on the bed made it very uncomfortable to sit on the bed and work or watch TV.

The Residence is located within walking distance of all major attractions in Geneva. The neighborhood has many good restaurants, shops, and small markets to buy water and other basic items. The room was very clean and with controlled access, so it felt safe inside.

We paid over £200 British pounds (plus City tax) for 2 nights in Oct 2023. It surely is not cheap but then again, Geneva is an expensive city.

Location: Right at the heart of the city. Central bus and train stations (Cornavin) are 5 minutes’ walk. Geneva lake is under 10 minutes. There are many shops and restaurants around. Staff: Check-in, check-out, luggage storage etc are at nearby Novotel. The staff there were really helpful. Swiss power outlets are different than EU. The staff helped us charge our power banks multiple times. Facilities: The building is a little old. The facilities are basic but they worked efficiently. Registered hotels in Geneva provide free travel pass for the entire stay. So, inside Geneva, you can take any public transport including boats (moulettes) on the lake. This hotel provided that before we arrived. Room: The room was pretty large. It was good enough our 2 nights’ stay.

The bed was not comfortable. The main issue is the front door not able to lock.

We did not realized that the room door is not able to lock until the last day of our stay. Luckily, nothing is lost. Please inform the owner of the room. Thanks.

There was no soup to wash hands(only shampoo and it was in the bath) and the ground was so cold, definitely needed a slippers

It was so clean and so close to train and anywhere. Check-in was a bit hard, it was written in the hotel door that we should check in at number 19 we walked but couldn’t find the number 19. It was Novotel and there wasn’t written 19 outside of the hotel. It could’ve been written easily Novotel outside of Studio Geneva.

broken air conditioner in both rooms, they tried to fix it and then offered us to change one room, where everything worked
