Quite a way out of Basel centre but we were quite happy to have peace and quiet after a long trip. Unfortunately my car GPS didnt recognise the address of hotel but we found it anyway on the phone.

Quiet hotel on the Rhine river. Food and service excellent.

The staff was very friendly and helpful. We definitely recommend and would go back. The hotel is located in nature and the stay was very relaxing.

The restaurant staff had some strange ways. We were unable to order a large sale to share for a starter as we were told they didn’t do that. We had to order two separate starters which was more food than we really wanted. Check in was a little lack lustre and it took a while for someone to come to the unmanned reception. The hotel is in a lovely location.

A beautiful hotel and a very buzzing restaurant on a Sunday evening. Very popular for evening dining.

Breakfast was expensive for what it was.

Great shower, comfortable bed. Quiet forest location with a view of the Rhein. Room 19 had just been decorated. Brilliant WiFi. Good local beer and food. Staff really friendly even though the restaurant was busy.

The comforters in every hotel in Europe are too thick and warm for us, especially for the summer/fall seasons. We wish there were a cooler option--even just a plain sheet in the room to use over us would be great. We usually end up removing the comforter itself and just using the duvet, but that takes some doing.

The breakfast was wonderful. Location was unexpectedly beautiful, with nature walks in both directions along the Rhine River. Our room was lovely, and all staff were very kind and attentive. The outdoor part of the restaurant had great views all around. We wished we could have stayed longer.

91 euros for 2 burgers and chips and a couple of beers was a bit shocking.

Everything the nice young blonde lady on reception was very helpful. We didn't realise that swiss plug sockets were different to most of Europe. She helped us out with a UK / swiss adapter. Thank you kind lady.

although we stayed two nights, we were given a small room. The bathroom is strangely arranged, with the basin separated from wc and shower

The only negative point that I can think of was the shower. The water temperature was a little inconsistent for both parties we were traveling with. The shower also tended to leak, under the bottom of the door, however these small issues did nothing to detraact from the quality of our stay.

The arrival to the hotel was surprising, as it was a small road used by public for access to walking tracks and visitors to the hotel. It was a lovely sight to see the hotel at the end of the road, and the area was very nice to experience, so close to the city but surrounded by forest. The check-in process was easy, and the staff were very welcoming and helpful with all queries. They even pointed us to the best way to travel into Basel with public transport. The room was well appointed, evidently newly refurbished and everything was extremely clean and well maintained. The old glass windows was a lovely touch of charm, as were the short stories on the bed, which was a lovely little surprise. The following morning breakfast was well laid out, a simple affair with a diverse choice of bread, pastries, cereal, fruit and with eggs and coffee to order, there was nothing more that was required.

Quit location with ample parking outside the hotel. It is an original property restored in a modern, tasteful style. My room had a large terrace outside looking out on a river. good breakfast with fresh salmon etc. Eggs cooked to liking.
