We had an excellent experience staying at the hotel, although the hotel is relatively a bit far from the city or attractions and it is required to arrive by train or car, the hotel itself compensates for this disadvantage, the hotel staff is friendly and welcoming, design with a special atmosphere, very good breakfast, private and comfortable beach, view Charming from the room, hard and high-quality mattresses for a good night's sleep.

I am not lowering the score because everything was amazing but they are worth mentioning: The hotel does not have AC and it was super hot when we visited. I think this was an unusual heatwave and the area is not used to this. they do provide a fan but it's noisy and can't sleep with it! Our room the shower head was broken, and the shower head itself was on the floor. They were super nice and did offer us to change the room but we already unpacked everything and we didn't want to change. And I was hoping that they would just replace the shower head but that didn't happen.

Oh WoW! This hotel is special ! Everything is superb! Staff very nice, they even had a toy ready for our dog, The room is beautiful, Breakfast was good, not many options but what was there was nice!

Too many bugs and no aircon in the rooms. Our room was very hot at night and when we open the window, too many bugs came in.

Quite expensive for a good but basic hotel, even for the region. But the location is still worth the money.

Lovely hotel at the lakeside with beautiful view at the Vierwaldstättersee from the room and good breakfast. It has a tiny beach with nice bar with comfort food and boat connection to Luzern.

The public transport connection is low. There is a train station at 6 min walk but the train runs every hour so be sure not to miss it!

Wonderful location and very hospitable staff. The hotel has a private beach area and a bistro by the lakeside. They give you a transport n museum voucher for the period of stay - you could ask the reception to email this to you in advance if you arrive by public transport.

Merlischachen is just a few stops from Luzerne trsin station and it's a beauty!!! We were upgraded to a room that had balcony overseeing the lake!!! The room was big, well maintained, the hotel had all the facilities.. the mini library with the coffee machine was a really cute corner!!! Surrounding area was worth seeing .. u can just walk around to reach the lake and also trek around!! I would definitely recommend!! We also got a very warm and welcoming reception by the hotel staffs before and during check-in

The local church is quite nearby and they ring the bell every hour at night. No soundproof is enough to keep it silent. We woke up almost every hour.

Almost everything. Exceptional staff, beautiful and stylish common areas, a very good bed and bathroom, facilities, a private beach area, everything to spend the best time. P.S. we forgot the earrings in the robe and left. With the exceptional help from the staff the earrings were found. We are very thankful for that

Amazing lakeside location, with private garden with sun loungers / umbrellas to enable guests to sunbathe and swim in the lake. Delicious and plentiful breakfast and excellent parking. Rail station a short distance from the hotel to take you into Lucerne if you don't want to drive. Also, a short drive to Zurich and the Lindt Chocolate Museum.

We loved our stay. Everything was clean and comfortable. The staff went out of their way to help us, give us advice on local activities, and they very kindly assisted us with checking in after their normal hours. The park on the lake was so pleasant, and the breakfast was delicious as well. Bathroom and room were both spacious. Balcony overlooking the lake was also a nice touch.
