The Hotel needs to provide a hot pot and coffee maker in the room, as well as a bottle of water. Of the 7 hotels we stayed in on this European trip, Hotel Schmid & Alpha was one of two that did not have a hot pot / coffee / tea in the room. We had to use our own tea and get hot water from the breakfast room area, but in the evening that room was locked.

It is in a great location and we loved the cozy intimacy of the hotel.

The floors were very creaky and badly installed. There wasn’t enough seating in the living space and the couch was uncomfortable. The quality of the room itself was not worth the high price plus the cost of the additional bed we paid for.

The staff was very kind! The view was amazing and the beds were very comfortable. The free breakfast was small but very good. The staff was quick to make sure it was refilled and we had everything we needed.

I reserved double room with lake view and we got one with balcony! The view is just amazing! Bed is big and comfortable even though there are 2 mattresses (they do not drift apart tho). The woman working there (with short blond hair) was super nice and welcoming! Location is great and the parking (10 CHF) is only like 100m from the hotel.

Great views from the room blue water lake, mountains with beautiful like flower arrangement. it is like paradise. The host are superb in welcoming guest.Breakfast makes you feel Swiss standard. Staff are very courteous and professional. Perfect location.

I was misled by the pictures attached to our room (Standard Double Room with Lake View) - there was a big window, in some pictures I could also see a balcony. In reality our room had just a small window in the building roof. It was a disappointment for us because I specifically searched for a good view and the pictures did not match the reality.

Wonderful location with a lake and mountain view. A lot of restaurants nearby to enjoy the view. Friendly staff. Excellent breakfast. Paid parking is about 100m from the hotel (10 CH)

This hotel is right in the heart of Brunnen, and we could walk everywhere. It was a 2 minute walk to the Victorinox Swiss Army Knife making workshop. We had private/dedicated parking for our entire stay, which was great when you have tired kids after a day of sight seeing in the local area. Breakfast was good, with enough variety to satisfy a picky toddler and food sensitivities. The most amazing thing about our stay was the view from our apartment. We could watch the boats on the lake and wake up to the water and mountain fresh air.

The apartment was well furnished. A microwave would be a plus but can be done without. The views of the lake from the balcony was amazing. Sit on the balcony, watch the last ship depart and the sun go down.

Parking was a little bit of a walk away - not a big problem. This is an older property (charming), but lacked AC - bigs fans provided kept the rooms cool.

Having to pay money for the using of the kitchen in the apartment it . Never had to do that in anywhere else in the world and i travel all the time

A bit inconvenient getting to room with heavy suitcase if not in main building. Breakfast was standard fare in a space that is too small for the number of people staying there. A bit of a hike to train station.
