We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.

United StatesThe ONLY negative we had a large group of school aged kids whose parents could care less that they ran up and down the halls and were loud past 10P at night. I know the hotel cannot control who’s on your floor.
Great central location to downtown; friendly staff; clean rooms; comfortable bedding; wonderful breakfast!

We had a clean and comfortable room which was an excellent size and had a fantastic shower. It was a perfect location for the cablecar up to Mt Titlus. The breakfast was really tasty and had plenty to choose from.

United StatesThe front desk person was very nice, but the breakfast room attendant was very unpleasant. We came in at 8:04 and there were a lot of tables empty, but she brought us to a table next to windows, but not in front of windows, so we had a wall to our side. We asked if we could move to the table next to it, which had a nice window view and she noticeably sighed and looked irritated and said that was reserved at 9:00 am that day. She ended up letting us sit there and we were out of there by 8:25. She did smile as we left, but how irritated she visibly was left us with a bad feeling through breakfast. Another thing which may be normal but I haven't come across it before -- if you don't pay for full board in advance, you can't eat dinner in the restaurant. We had no idea and there are very few restaurants in Engelberg this time of year so we ended up going to the market and bringing food back to our room.
We had a balcony view room and the view was beautiful. Room was also spacious and nicely updated. Location of hotel is very good.

United StatesThe basement ski rooms' plastic-surface chairs were very slippery, which made it hard to put on ski boots since that often requires significant forces be applied. Also the curved stairway down to it is extremely hard to navigate, particularly with ski boots on and it's even worse with skis. Going out is not a problem because there's a side door into the parking lot, but bringing everything back down the stairway is somewhat harrowing even for ultra-experienced and fit skiers.
Our room was much larger than expected, on a corner with large floor-to-ceiling windowed doors all around. The bed was extraordinarily comfortable, including the massive pillows. The breakfast was outstanding, even by our lofty standards (it's my favorite meal of the day). Most of the ground floor is a large lobby, with couches, chairs and tables, so it's easy find a comfortable place to work, chat or enjoy a drink. Generally excellent Wi-Fi speed. We appreciated that there was a coin-operated washer and dryer in house since we were both skiing.
