How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.

We loved everything about the hotel.
The hotel has excellent facilities and is close to everything. The staff are friendly and helpful. We love the hotel. The rooms are spacious with all the mod cons. Great A/C. Quiet and relaxing! The garden patio was a nice surprise! Lovely breakfast! We highly recommend this hotel!!

Good - however the sole waiter who was great was rushed off his feet trying to clear tables the we arrived for breakfast. Great location. Reception staff were friendly , smiley and helpful

would be good to have a bigger room service menu late at night. pillows and the mattress were very bouncy, couldn't get a good night's sleep

We had a special room but unfortunately, there was no elevator access, and we had to carry our large luggage up the stairs.
We recently stayed here for three nights and had a wonderful experience. The staff at reception were welcoming and helpful during check-in. Our room was very clean and well-equipped with everything we needed. The hotel is ideally located in the old town, just a 15-minute easy walk from the train station. While there are many church bells, they weren't too loud and didn't disturb our sleep at night. The breakfast provided was good, and there are plenty of restaurants nearby. We requested an upper floor room with a view and were delighted to receive exactly that.

Location is perfect in old town zurich nearby all the shops and attractions The hotel is cozy the room is specious and clean The only thing that the lobby is a little bit small and the hotel has no table in garden but the hotel itself is perfect also the staff are nice and helpful 👌

I was positively impressed about the hotel. Perfect location, great breakfast (available until 12:00, I have never seen that), well equipped gym and friendly staff. It seems the entire hotel has been renewed recently.

Entrance to hotel is right by car but it’s normal for the location

Amazed mg location! So so so central. Spacious rooms. Great coffee and breakfast .friendly staff and great service. Ask for a room on the 4th floor with a view. Exactly per the pictures and reviews.

The location is perfect for walking arround as it is in the middle of the oldest part of Zurich! The hotel is really nice, rooms are chic and confortable, and also breakfast very good with plenty of options. Also people working at the hotel are very nice and open to help with what you may need.

Rooms were a little bit warm so we kept the windows open all time( end of April) . The breakfast could have more sweet options -like cookies/cakes or tarts.
Location is very good, walking distance to the main attractions/transportation. The room was clean and spacious , I want to especially remark that the bed was super comfortable with great pillows . Good Breakfast . Friendly, helpful and attentive staff!!

The price but it is Switzerland so not much one can do about this. Otherwise it was very pleasant.
I liked that they read my special request and provided me with probably the quietest room in the house. I really appreciate that. The room was small (booked as a single person) but extremely comfortable.
