The room might be a bit small for a family. The male waiters at the restaurant always seemed rushed and impatient, which made us feel uncomfortable. The female waiter, on the other hand, was very nice.

The room had a bath with spa jets and a shower above it that was very awkward to step into. You almost needed to sit on the wide edge of bath when getting in or out so you didn't slip. Reception is also only manned until 16:00 which wasn't in issue for us but may be for others.

The hotel is in a great central location and only a short walk from the train station and the Palace. We were upgraded to a family room which was a lovely gesture and a rose given to mothers for Mother's day. The main bed was comfortable and the room had nice facilities like a coffee machine and bath robes. The windows had good sound proofing and block-out blinds. The breakfast buffet had a good range of items and the staff were very friendly.

Stay in guests are offered 50% on discount for food and drinks. However when we were paying the bill we found that the wine was not discounted. The water we ordered was 11CHF (after the 50% discount!)!! And the staff did not bring the water to us. The breakfast could be more rich.

Really just a transport hub, not much to see, no late reception or bar, guest card not useful. Room servicing patchy - ring round bath, elements kept coming and going, the safe as others have found difficult so abandoned attempt.

Did not have breakfast - good cafe in town half the price, near station, good restaurants nearby, good cinema/restaurant. balcony with views to mountains, good walks in the mountains.

The only reason I haven't given it a 10 was because we felt the breakfast price was high. It would have been 50 Swiss francs for 2 adults and a child, so we did not have breakfast in the hotel. There are lots of supermarkets nearby so we hot some breakfast food there instead.

The room was excellent with plenty of space and we had an extra bed set up for our child. This did not make the room cramped. Our room had a lovely terrace which seemed to be about four times the size of everyone else's balcony, so we were very lucky! Great coffee machine. Proper hairdryer. All brilliant. The location of the hotel is absolutely brilliant. Very easy to reach from the train station. Staff gave us an adapter plug to use as none of our European ones would fit. That was excellent and really appreciated. Thanks for a great stay!

Fold out bed (couch) was not of a good design, squeaky/ uncomfortable for the kids. Have slept in a lot better versions Shower was 'interesting' with the shower head at about 5ft high!
