Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.

Location, clean, the view, the quietness, the great taste for how the entire hotel is designed. The staff is very friendly and professional. The breakfast was excellent, I appreciate the choice of lactose-free and vegan milk, like oat milk, which is very considerate to people lactose-intolerant.

Switzerland2 minor things we didn’t like: It’s really hot in the rooms and around the hotel. If we knew, we would have brought t-shirts and light pants, but it was winter outside and we only had winter clothes with us. Moreover, the room are big but the bed and especially pillows are very soft, so not really confortable for who likes to sleep with firm pillows. I couldn’t sleep both nights. It would be nice if they can put two different types of pillow in the rooms so that everyone can be happy depending on their preferences. Anyway, these are minor things and our family is planning to return again :)
The property is amazing, especially for kids. The big inside plaground is funny for kids of each age. The hotel is huge and kids can run around without fear of getting hurt. Easy access just in front of the arrival of the funicular. Rooms are big (we had an M size) and can accomodate confortably a cot and baggages. Breakfast is also nice with a lot of options (also vegetarian and vegan and lactose free). The dinner option instead were okay, we didn’t really have any choice as every other restaurant in the village was closed.

Great location for kids, the indoor playground is worth a daily visit, the view from the bar are amazing and overall the rooms feels super modern yet with a rustic character.

SwitzerlandThe Lodge is really good. We got both the rooms with amazing view of the mountains overlooking the stoosbahn. The rooms were comfy, spacious with a hint of luxury. Everything was top notch including the amenities and the restaurant. I would like to specially thank one of the staff, Mr Rene, who was really helpful and kind. He went out of his way to accommodate my requests with dinner reservations etc and I am truly thankful. Also the Restaurant manager was super nice and super active. He was always checking in to see if we are comfortable. All in all, we really enjoyed our stay at Stoos lodge and would definitely try to come back for Spring/Summer.

AustraliaSTUNNING lodge and location!! Staff were exceptional - exceeded our expectations the whole stay. They were accommodating and understanding of a late check-out due to our trip up to Fronalpstock and hitting bad weather which set us back late for check-out. The lodge was super cosy, comfortable and the facilities - Saunas were exceptional, well needed and our favourite part aside form the hike. The view from our room was sensational.. I could go on and on!! We only wish we had stayed longer.

CanadaWouldn’t say “ didn’t like” but more as a constructive comment, property description mention English and Germain speaking but staff isn’t fluent with English; most of the times it was a guessing game between staff members and I ; everything from ordering at the restaurant, the bar, asking questions about the room. Every information card, notices on the wall, instructions were in Germain only. I was very pleased with my stay and that wouldn’t be something that won’t make me come back but I think it’s worth knowing for English/ French only speaking people
