The stairs up to the second floor were very steep and slippery - unsuitable for children. Also we had to chase to get our Basel cards, which are needed to get free transport around the city and a range of discounts at tourist sites.

The location is excellent - very easy to locate and very central so you can explore the old town with ease. The street is full of bars and restaurants, and there is a supermarket a short walk away if you want to cook for yourself. If you are traveling with children, the excellent zoo is only a short walk away.

Even though having only one bathroom for a family required some coordination, it was doable, and the rest of the existing infrastructure compensates for it.

Very good flat, spacious, very clean, well decorated, fully stocked for towels, toothbrushes, welcome champagne, water, coke zero. 2 floors, good shower. Very comfortable, even for a family. Centrally located. Hosts prepared BaselCards for all of us, which meant we had free public transportation in Basel, discounts to many attractions, including the famous Zoo... we were very impressed.

It was a little difficult to find on our arrival,and the heating wasn’t working when we arrived but after emailing they were there the next morning with heaters and had arranged for an engineer to sort the problem , after that all was good and we had no further problems.

The lady came to take our money for the house. We asked for our basel cards. At first she said that it is online. When we asked how can we do it she said that they will fix them in a while. After that I sent her several messages asking about this and she never amswered again. We stayed for two nighgts and we never had a feedback so we never had our card!!!! We payed by ouselves for our transportation and full prices at the museums! At the house there is a hairdryer than fits in none of the plugs at the house! We wanted to wash our hair and we never did it as there wash no way to dry it! Also,The last day there was not hot water.
