There was a sign in the room advertising a breakfast we couldn't find. Contacting the company to ask about it just resulted in "you didn't book breakfast". So why advertise then?

There was no safe in the apartment,the pool was closed which was not on booking.com till after we arrived. They advertised breakfast Monday to Friday but it was not available when we were there. It would have been nice to have complimentary tea,coffee,sugar and milk sachets as to buy them in the shop was very expensive, and they would have been wasted as it was a short stay.

There is no reception in the hotel (everything is online) so the common area and the hallways look dark and lifeless.

Self checkin. We arrived early and had to pay 3 Francs via phone to store luggage. The only issue was that the code supplied did not open the front door, only the storage locker, so we had to have someone let us in the front door. As for the room, it was very nice but needed extra pillows and bodywash and shampoo for the shower. No air conditioning, but they did loan us a fan. I imagine in could get very hot in August there. The kitchen was nice to have, but I had to buy a sponge and dish tablets, it would be nice to have those provided.

Exceptionally clean. Nicely furnished kitchen. Excellent shower and bathroom. The location was very convenient.

There were no instruction manuals for anything there. So I didn't know how to use anything, including the induction cooker ( it seemed to be locked) and the lock on the door from the inside.

Excellent location - so close to the rail station! The check-in and out were straightforward. The room was clean with the excellent shower room - the shower was really powerful. The building is along the busy road, but my room was quiet as it was located on the other side.

Really the only (but big) negative was the fact that the humidity extractor fan in the shower doesn't turn off. It gets louder and then quieter all through the night, so I had to use earplugs to sleep.

The washroom has a bit smell, also the rooftop swimming pool was with dirty water- it would be nice to jus t empty the pool when not used, and has some patio chairs there just for relaxing as the weather was warm.

Inventory check list shortfalls and no feedback when submitted. No clear instructions in the room for the extractor fan. Only one chair suitable for dining in the room. No staff on site.

Location near the station. Laundry and cooking facilities. Comfortable and quiet. Very clean mirrors and shower glass!

The apartment was too hot and I didn't find the device to regulate the temperature very user-friendly. Hardly saw any staff and sometimes the customer-service takes a while to reply to emails. I think the check-in and check-out hours aren't suitable. Check-in can only be done after 3pm and in case you want to leave your bag you need to pay extra and book it with customer-service since there's no-one from the staff on the premises. Regarding check-out, it's at 10am!! If you want to go out for a drink on a Saturday night you need to be back by mid-night like cinderella because you'll be "kicked-out" first thing in the morning. Not nice when you're on holidays and want to have a relaxing stay. Besides, it means that you will need to carry your bags the entire day like it happened to me since my flight was only at 9pm and on top of that it was raining.. So I didn't like this at all.

For me, the location was perfect because despite being a little far from the city centre (20 -30 minute walk) it was 5 min away from the train station where the bus from and to the airport, stops, and where many trams that go to the city centre also stop. The apartment was exactly like in the photos which was really good. Very clean and quiet. I also appreciated the city's policy of providing a Basel Card to everyone that stays overnight in the city. It is provided by your accommodation provider and it entitles you to use all trams and buses for free during your stay and also gives you a 50% discount in many museums and other activities.

The communication was only throughout e mails and at first with slow response.Too many things with good taste packed in a small place but not practical and really useful as there is no place left to put your suitcase and open your baggage.The stools for eating were so tall you could not rally seat comfortable and so bulky that you could not walk through but always bumped on them .The wardrobe was so small that there fitted only the ironboard and if get out the board not enough space to open it and use it.So, REALLY small room , although in the photos seemd spacious. A traveler needs practical rooms .I dont think that rooms were designed for people with luggage.The room must be a place for rest and not a place packed with too many things .

Clean, comfy bed and luxurious modern bathroom .Many amenities like iron bord, hairdryer, dishwasher,kitchen , fridge, microwave.A place in the building for laundry although we did not use it .Feel of safety,modern feel,free card for busses,close to train station if you need it to make daytrips .

Some plugs and the coffee machine did not work in our room however we felt there was no one to really alert to this. The property itself (not the room) was a bit strange with large communal bar and seating areas closed off and in darkness, so this felt a bit creepy.

The rooms were nice and large with a balcony we could sit on in the sunshine. The location of the property was perfect and we eventually recieved a Basel card for free travel.
