We rented a non-smoking room and right outside our window on the top floor we found a glass filled with put out cigarettes and apparently there had been smoking in the room a lot either by previous guests or employees. Treated rude at breakfast.

Waldhotel Unspunnen was far from Interlanked West station. Walking distance over 30 minutes, and walking path is not good. If you do not have a car, I would not recommend this place.

Waldhotel Unspunnen is an absolute treasure in the Swiss Alps! The historic charm and photogenic beauty of this place are a photographer's dream. I was lucky to have a room with an amazing view of the summit of Jungfrau . The staff's warmth and hospitality made the experience even more special. This hotel beautifully encapsulates Switzerland's natural beauty and history. We loved its charm and location.

The location was terrible and it was so hot that the only way to cool your room down was opening the windows and it was so noisy. The main road was close by and a bar that they yelled all night. We didn't stay both nights.

Totally not controlled by the hotel but it was HOT!! Came during a heat wave and the hotel provided fans for EVERY room! The hotel was amazing!

With many children we were given the top floor suite/apartment which suited perfectly! Able to eat most meals at “home” while still getting to enjoy Interlaken.

There’s some ot the reception has a bad way to talk with the costumer. She gave me a feeling is i wanna leave this place As soon as possible. Also the room was to small and it’s has small one bathroom!

I only like the service with the women and the man.

It’s 20 minutes from any civilization. It’s uphill hike all the way. In a small town where taxi is not very frequent, it’s a big hassle. Looks like an old property has been force fit into a hotel. Washrooms are awkward and uncomfortable. Same breakfast every day.

I liked everything! If you didn’t have a car, you’d have to coordinate your plans with the bus schedule. We moved here from a hotel in the city, and truly preferred Waldhotel.

Charming hotel located just far enough from the city to enjoy the forests around Interlaken. The staff was incredibly helpful and personable. The hotel has a shared fridge and kitchen area as well as laundry room. Small walks through the forest were possible and even a hike to a castle ruin was accessible.

Room was very hot and needed a fan or air conditioning - struggled to sleep because of this. The pillow was also very uncomfortable. Would have expected a kettle (and preferably also a mini fridge) in a hotel room

the wooden floor made a lot of noise while moving around in the room the vegetarian options in the breakfast were limited to breads, butter, cucumber, tomatoes, fruits and yoghurts

😍🤩 amazing friendly staff, always smiling and happy to help in any way possible. The location was 10 minutes walk through a beautiful forest to the train station. The food was incredible 🤤, never tasted anything like it , so delicious.

It was centrally located, making it very easy to access both the town of Interlaken and Grindelwalds and Lauterbrunnen. Also, there are great hiking trails close by, the staff were so helpful and friendly and the food (restaurant and wonderful continental breakfast) were fantastic!

There is no bus to the hotel. You have to walk around 1km. Not recommend if you are not by car
