Better facilities in other, more modern hotels. Pillows far too soft to sleep comfortably and no alternative. No tea or coffee in the room.

We loved this hotel. The staff were so helpful. We’d forgotten to get francs and they went out if their way to sort it for us. You can park safely over the road for a small charge. The location is stunning. The room service meal we had was delicious. We had two dogs with us so lovely walks nearby . We will definitely stay there again.

A lovely hotel, with friendly and helpful staff, in a beautiful lakeside location. A 16-minute train journey from Luzern and well worth it for the lakeside views and its proximity to Stans. Try to get a room with a balcony and a view of the lake. Breakfast is very good. Its adjacent pizzeria was warm and welcoming with a lovely smell of woodsmoke and the best pizzas I have ever tasted. Good choice of starters and desserts too. Very highly recommended.

Breakfast was limited, with the same options every morning. For access to the underground car park there is a key which you need to pick and return to reception so if you are going out multiple times it might be a bit of a hassle.

Very good location with stunning view of the lake and mountains. Very clean and with decent amenities. You can notice that the hotel is on the old side, with fixtures already a bit wore out.

One of the staff honked at us as we entered the underground garage. That was surprising as they worked there. They then proceeded to follow us to the garage after we opened it with the hotel key. Very odd.

The staff were wonderful especially the reception and also the lady who served us at the NY Eve dinner (I think she was the head waitress) very professional

The parking situation is awkward to say the least but it’s the city which owns and operates this weird way of collecting their fees. We didn’t know that the hotel had their for pay parking until we already paid for the public version. This should be made clear to guests during check in.

Our rooms did not have standalone showers but rather shower baths. Reception did not have any bathmats, making it dangerous to use the shower. Parking is available in the hotel but costs 15 CHF. Can also part in public spaces outside hotel, but need to keep putting coins in every 3 hours. No tea/coffee making facilities in room. City tax (1.5 CHF per person) on departure!

Receptionists were welcoming and friendly. Hotel within walking distance of several restaurants, including a Thai restaurant (includes vegetarian options), pizzeria (belongs to the hotel, offers take-aways) and several traditional Swiss restaurants. Difficult to get a table without prior booking. Nice bakery in the village.

Lovely hotel located right in front of the beautiful lake of Lucerne. Special atmosphere in particular at sunset - the lake is spectacular. The restaurant is facing the lake view and you can eat outside. The staff is exceptional, extremely kind and caring. I have arrived early in the morning and they did their very best to prepare the room prior the actual check-in time. The hotel is close to a supermarket and a lovely café-bar with bakery and restaurants. It is also close to trekking routes in particular the one along the lake which is absolutely great. The room I stayed was very spacious, comfort and quite with a terrace. Modern look and exceptionally clean. Highly recommended.

Rather than taking the train from Central Station, the ferry dock is right next to the hotel, which makes getting there fun. Good wifi, nice view.
